I love all things Doctor Who and Firefly (Obviously I'm River with a daughter named Kaleigh {Kaylee}). I also have a son but his name isn't as interesting. My whole family is actually obsessed with Doctor Who.
My drink of choice is POM with Pellegrino and lime. Or if I'm really adventurous I'll go outside pick some fresh mint (we all have that in WA it grows like weeds) just do Pellegrino, sugar, mint and lime my version of a non-alcoholic mojito.

Hi,
I'm Christine- from sunny Sydney Australia. LTT made me laugh so much I had to be careful to go to the toilet before I read each entry...... And I am convinced that UC and Moon are in fact my bestie, Helen and my American alter egos- (but with better computer skills).
This is my first foray into the world of the blog (other than as a fan/stalker) and I'm pretty flippin EXCITED to have online access to such awesome gals.
My drink of choice is a crisp Aussie sav blanc, I think cats are hilarious and DO NOT CRITICIZE my baby name choice- or you will feel the wrath of a mother scorned......

Hi, I'm Tracy, a 31 year old (almost 32... YIKES) SAHM of two, born & raised in West Texas, where the land is flat, the wind is constantly blowing, and you can experience every season in one day for a good part of the year. I found TN today, after someone in another book club posted the link for the defense of Sam Heughan as JAMMF post. Loved it, and I shall follow religiously now! I LOVE to read, and I always have. My fave series of all time is the Outlander series (on my millionth re-read, currently) and the Fever series, so I think I'll really enjoy this bookclub. I'll read just about anything, except non-fiction & biographies. My drink of choice is usually moscato or beer, preferably Leigenkugel's (sp?) LemonBerry Shandy or Ace Pear. I have an obsession with the TV show Friends, and I can quote that show like gangbusters. Really looking forward to this group!

Hey Tracy!!! So glad you found us. I was once a 31 year old SAHM of two. But now I am a 33 SAHM of two. I haven't changed all that much.
OH JAMMF is always bringing awesome people together. <3

Those are the only ones we are reading this month, Dany. Unless of course, you want to hop on the Outlander train and get your JAMMF fix. :)

YAY! Ladies, join the thread when you get started. I've just gotten the last half of my real life book club who haven't read it yet to start it. EVERYONE! I WILL CONQUER EVERYONE.

Never was there a book more worth the money! Be prepared for addiction!

And Shawna, I have the same problem(?) with my kindle. It just never leaves my side! :)
Just wanted to say hi to all the new people!
So JAMMF is a new Hanson song, right?
Glad we're on the same page.

It's kind of like UNF, but better.
Actually, when I see it or read it, I hear James Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie Fraser. All of it. Because JAMMF's a mouthful.

I enjoy a good cab or Pinot noir. Hubs is a chef so I get primo selections at wholesale. I'm lucky, I know.
Anyway, I found this group through Beth's post in defense of Sam being JAMMF. And if you can't tell Diana is my all time fav author.
I'm totally stoked to join the group. Can't wait to read and discuss with y'all!

I'm Jenn. I live in WA state. I have four kids (hubs is freaking hot, what can I say?) - the kids have been put on this earth to teach us patience. I've been in school in the medical field. for.evv.eer. but should be done in 2015. Ubiquitously pie-fingered doesn't even begin to describe it.
I am a classically trained air-drummer, incurable book-sniffer, and drink of choice is more coffee than is good for a body.
I found you all through a twitter RT: Beth's epic tale of why we love Jamie Fraser. (killin' me, girlfran!) I have read all the Outlander books to date. I read everything but horror.
I look forward to talking books!

Cyndy, I'm old too. And also fond of tequila, chocolate and sleep. Especially sleep since I temporarily lost my mind and agreed to "try again" for another child and had one a year and half ago and I haven't slept since. Having children when you are old=bad idea just in case anyone was wondering. Plus you get to see this new alarming term on all your medical charts "AMA". I was horrified, especially since my heart continually tells me it's 2000. so how on earth could I be 40? lol

I love to read just about anything, but am an avid Outlander fan (who's not??). This is my first time on anything like this, so please be gentle with me!! Am @eyemama on twitter, feel free to say hi!
Oh, and I'm not much of a drinker, but that's never stopped me from joining in on the fun :)

Oh, they tried that AMA shit with my last kid and I gave my OB/GYN SUCH A SIDE-EYE she may not have recovered yet.
Also, bless. The thought of going back to diapers now makes me want to hork. SO. VERY. DONE.

Mine is looking at some gorgeous thing, going "Yowzers, hawt!" then immediately thinking of how long my jail sentence would be.

Well, I'm regularly half-watching the front door for Chris Hansen when I'm watching TEEN WOLF. YMMV.

WELCOME

You live in London - I'm already a fan! ´But since you're way ahead of me on the Outlander series I have to be careful around you for spoilers, I guess..? Other than that: marrying a younger man is a win/win situation for all involved - join the club. :)
Welcome!

HI Hannah! Welcome! I think you are gonna like it here. :-) Im on bk 3 of Outlander-Voyager- gah!! It's stealing my life... in a good way. Also, since you are here, I will be in London for 24 hours, alone, in late Oct., do you have a suggestion for a place to grab dinner by oneself on a budget? (ps. just so you don't have to look through all the intros to find me; I'm Becca irl, or Goldberrybecca on LTT, TN, and Twitter, almost 35, married mom of 3, from Texas)
Welcome Hannah! I am also 33, born in early January 1980 despite being due in Dec 79 and married to a younger man. So ... How long have you been single white female-ing me exactly? I'd like to get the deets right on the restraining order.

I'm a book club and goodreads newb, so please forgive in advance my general awkwardness and ignorance of the whole shebang.
When I was little I used to devour piles of books every summer break, but once in college I found I had little time for reading outside of a textbook. :(
But atm I'm on a hiatus from school, so I'm taking advantage of it while I can and reading everything I can get my grubby little hands on (most of which ends up being YA novels because I'm a whore for YA)
anyway....I'm 22, live in Kentucky near Fort Knox with my bf of two years ( whom I haven't seen pick up a single book since we've been together , THE HORROR)
and my drink of choice is usually pineapple vodka and orange juice, but lately I've been trying a lot of different (cheap) wines.

what book are we reading now? there seems to be a million going on at once, do I just pick a book and jump in somewhere?

Have fun!
