Gremlin | 966 comments Wendy F - Are you still interested in buddy reading Blue Lily, Lily Blue? My copy just arrived at the library! :)

message 154: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Don't kill me... but I already read it. I'm so sorry, lmao. I'm rotten to the core. I just wanted to get my review on my co-blog kind of quickly.

But I would definitely still love to chat with you about it in the Raven Cycle thread, if you're up for it. :)

message 155: by Gremlin (last edited Oct 29, 2014 11:45AM) (new)

Gremlin | 966 comments Hahaha! Well, if anyone else wants to buddy read this (Blue Lily, Lily Blue) I'll be starting soon :)

But yes, Wendy! I'm sure I'll chat it up in the Raven Cycle thread.

message 156: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 867 comments I really liked Unwind and I'm tremendously curious about Unwholly. Stacia, Gremlin, Anna: Would you like to buddy read it? I would choose to start in approximately one week but I can wait a bit more if you feel it's complicated for you to join. Anyone else interested on joining us is welcomed too.

message 157: by Gremlin (new)

Gremlin | 966 comments Sandra is done with Unwind! Who would like to join us in a buddy read of UnWholly (Unwind, #2) by Neal Shusterman ?

message 158: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Another awesome read! Where will you guys be discussing so I can go lurk? ;)

Haha! I posted my post before realizing you'd just posted one of your own, Sandra. Needless to say, I'm in! I'd love to wait a week or two to start, but I can be convinced to go with almost any timeline :)

Great! We can post in the series' thread for sure.

message 161: by Anna (new)

Anna | 231 comments I just got my copy of Blue Lily from the library today too! So I'm up for a buddy read of that right now. Then Unwholly in a week or so.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments I can do Unwholly next week if that's what people are looking at.

message 163: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 867 comments Great! I'm starting Burn for me and I guess it will take me at least seven days to read it. I will confirm if I can start it on Nov 6 or not when I get to 80%, but you can start on that day if you don't want to start another book meanwhile. I'd join you later, I promise.

Awesome, Anna! I'll start Blue Lily tonight! Shall we have our discussions over at the Rated YA-MA discussions at the "PNR & Urban Fantasy > The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater" section?

Since it sounds like folks are good to wait a week or so to start Unwholly, let's loosely plan for next weekend (Nov 7ish) to start - but Sandra can give us a more firm start date as we get closer. :)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments Sounds good.

message 167: by Anna (new)

Anna | 231 comments Sounds good for both.

message 168: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 867 comments Deal!

message 169: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 867 comments I can start UnWholly (Unwind, #2) by Neal Shusterman this Wednesday, Nov 5. I don't know if you can join me but knowing that I'm a relatively slow rabid reader I think you won't notice I did, believe me. I'm always the last one to finish book in buddy readings!! Can't help it. So I hope you don't mind if I start it on Nov 5.

As we said, we can use the group's discussion thread for this series. It's this one:

message 170: by Gremlin (new)

Gremlin | 966 comments Thanks for letting us know, Sandra! I've got a lot of reading going on, but hopefully I can start close to then (though it might be closer to the weekend).

message 171: by Sandra (new)

Sandra | 867 comments No problem, Gremlin. It usually takes me one week to read a book, so I thought it'd be preferable for me to start this Wednesday than to start another book and delay the buddy reading much more.

message 172: by Stacia (the 2010 club), groupaholic, YA-MA founder (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments I probably won't be able to start until Thursday but I'm still in.

message 173: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie hey guys, I'm planning to read Cracked (Soul Eater, #1) by Eliza Crewe The Monstrumologist (The Monstrumologist, #1) by Rick Yancey Bloodhound (Beka Cooper, #2) by Tamora Pierce in February if anyone's interested in buddy reading :)

OH! Cracked is so good!

message 175: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie Read with meeeee

Athena Shardbearer Ashley wrote: "Read with meeeee"

Ok. Can you give me till next week? I could read any of the other ones.

message 177: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie Like I said, I'm not looking to start til February anyway. I'm starting Catherine the Great Portrait of a Woman by Robert K. Massie on the 1st and it's a monster, so depending on how that goes I may not start any of the other books until the 7th. What do you think?

That's perfect! Lets shoot for the 15th of February?

message 179: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie Sounds good! And then maybe we can tackle the other ones after. I'm dying to read Bloodhound, I finished Terrier last year and loved it.
