Have you ever read about a fantasy world that made you desperately wish you could be a part of it?

oops also Hyperion's world.

1. Shire (For multiple breakfasts, elevenses, etc. Sitting on the front step of my home and blowing smoke rings or sharing a mug of ale with friends. Being lazy and good-natured.)
2. Staying as a guest of Tom Bombadill and Goldberry. (For lots of food, song and tales.)
3. As a guest of Beorn and his wonderful animals. I could ask him to hire me as a caretaker for the animals. :)
4. With the Eagles high up on the mountains.
5. In Minas Tirith following the war.
6. In the beautiful Ithilien, obviously following the war, perhaps sharing a meal or two with Faramir and Eowyn.
7. I would have said Rivendell, but the elves would have left it eventually, so it would have felt rather depressing.

1) The place from the Demon Cycle - during the time they fought them - it sounds awesome.
2) Night Angel books - during the time the books took place.
3) WoT - Anywhere close to Rand tbh.
4) LoTR - When the war was fought
Basicly I'd go to any world possible and not after the books, but during, I'd love to be a part of the action, the sadness, cruelty, pain and in the end, the happiness, satsifaction when all of it has paid off.

I'd also be quite happy as a hobbit living in the Shire during nearly any period.
Besides Tolkien's ME there are loads of fantasy worlds I'd gladly live within, such as Faerun from the Forgotten Realms, Midkemia and Kelewan from Raymond Feist's mythology, and even the world of Warhammer Fantasy. Now if you'd suggested visit instead of be a part of then that drastically increases my responses.
