Sorry it's late folks. As always do as many or as few as you'd like, based on real odd/wacky holidays.

June is Aquarium Month and the first week of June is Fishing Week and the 18th is Go Fishing Day- Read a book with a fishy title, someone goes fishing in the story, visits a zoo/aquarium, owns a pet fish/fish tank, or there is a fishable body of water on the cover (ie backyard pool won't work but a lake would). BONUS if you actually are reading while fishing on the 18th :)

June 13 is Sewing Machine Day - Read a book where someone is creative with a needle. Anything quilt related, Amish, etc.

June 18 is International Panic Day - Read a book where someone panics. (Anyone stumbling across a dead body who screams would easily qualify.)

June 21 is Finally Summer Day- Summer Solstice - Choose a book that would qualify as a beach read. BONUS if you actually read a book on a beach! (Hint: Pretty much anything goes as long as it isn't War and Peace, lol, as beach reads should be light reading.)

June 28 is Paul Bunyan Day - In honor of his companion, Babe the Blue Ox, read a book with a blue cover.

The Charlie Chan books by Earl Derr Biggers could be considered cozies in the way Sherlock Holmes might be and they give a great historical atmosphere of Old Hawaii which you might still find in the architecture of the holder hotels.

Leslie Heather L wrote: "Congrats Leslie! What did you think of Faceless Killers? I've been looking for that one since catching the Wallander movies on PBS last summer."

I liked it better than the PBS dramatization, but neither of them is a favorite. I find Wallender a bit too depressed & a tad whiny for my tastes.

Melissa: I'm with Leslie--the trip wasn't bonus enough?!

One more book to go for this challenge, which I will be starting tomorrow. Just finished my "beach" read, and while I may not have read it while on a beach, I nearly finished it this evening while enjoying the first "Concert on the Square" of the season. Sigh...

Melissa | 324 comments Done, but with only a few cozies. I'm itching to read more now that I finished those Hawaii books. The last cozy I read, Death in the Orchid Garden wasn't that satisfying, so I need to get my cozy fix!

I read it for the Hawaii setting, it wasn't one of my normal series that I follow.
