This doesn't mean that you had the same backstory as her, but let's just say that you just happened to meet Kip McFarland, and you became really good friends. But then he tells you what he did when he was 9. What would you do? Would you leave? Or would you stay?

Personally, I would stay. Of course, I would be shocked at first and I would need some time to let the information sink in. But if he was my friend and he seemed alright, then I would stick around. After all he was only a kid and people do change.
