FINNICK!!!! Prim and Cinna needed to die or the story wouldn't have been the same. but Finnick?!?!? That was just for nothing

I would bring back Finnick because honestly he just got married and he had a child on the way of all the people that died he deserved the most to live and honestly he just deserves it most because his life was messed up a lot like A LOT and as soon as he becomes happy he dies just uggggh you know.

If someone had to be saved, I would hope for it to be Finnick. He, who had his body sold to the people in District 4, finally got freedom, married the women he loved, had a kid, and put his life on the line to protect Katniss, only to end up dying. Finnick sacrificed everything, he knew the danger of the mission but even so, he pushed forward because he believed in Katniss. This was a large amount of trust to place on Katniss and when he died, it felt like it was put in as a shock factor and nothing more.

Finnik becasue i love him and there was no real reason for him to die. All of the others deaths had at least some point to them.

I would say Cinna too but I'm still trying to get over that one.

Rue's death. When she died I honestly wept for so long.

Finnick without a doubt, I would trade him for Gale anyday of the week

totally finnick. my one and only favorite character in the last book and of course he had to die. WITHOUT EVEN SEEING HIS CHILD!!!!!! how sad is that?

i agree with most of you that finnick should have not died at all.all of the other people in the story had to die because hey all had deaths that led up to important parts in the book. and finnick? he was just there. he had no reason to die because he was living a happy life. had just fallen in love was about to be a father. he had no reason to die. other people,like prim, died for a cause and without their deaths the book wouldn't be very interesting and it wouldn't have let katniss to do the crazy things that she did.finnick should not have died because his death didn't really affect the plot or anything. so his death was pointless.

While my answer is Finnick because honestly, I adore Finnick Odair and I really did want him and Annie to have their happily ever after, I don't think his death was pointless at all.

Mockingjay was meant to be a somewhat realistic depiction of war and what surviving a war is like. And in war, people die. People who are innocent and people who don't deserve it, people with lovers and friends and children. People die, and that's the way it is. I'm willing to bet there are thousands if not millions of people who died in real wars because they "just didn't get away fast enough".

His death was meant to show that war was real and that people died seemingly for no reason.

All that being said, I still would've saved him because Finnick

I would say Cinna. He had a special connection with Katniss. He was the only other person who uderstood her besides Prim, and maybe Gale. I loved Rue, but she was still so young, so I think her dying and not having to deal with the death of the other tribute in her district was better.

FINNICK he was my favorite character and then she suddenly kills him. It was completely pointless. I'm still very upset :(

If Prim's death wasn't as significant as it was, I would pick her because she had a bright future and...well... she's Prim, but since it was important in Katniss' choice to kill Coin, then I would pick Finnick because I loved him and his death was pointless <3

Of course Finnick! I was SO SHOCKED, and surprised!!

Finnick, he became my favorite character in book three with Peta so messed up.

Finnick because he was so charming and I fell in love with his character!!!!

Prim, but I suppose her death had a positive affect on Katniss' decision about Coin, so Finnick.

1) Rue. She was to young and innocent to die. :(

It's a hard decision to choose between Finnick and Prim.
I choose Finnick cause his death was pointless.
I would have chosen Prim, but after Prim died I think Katniss started to hate Gale a bit, so...

Finnick or Prim. We might find reasons why Prim's death was kind of necessary, as some of you have mentioned above, but Finnick's death was just pointless. He should have lived a long happy life with his wife and son. Him being alive would have left us a less sad impression of the books.

Well the first person who came to my mind was Prim.

Boggs! He genuinely cared for Katniss and knew how Coin operated so he could be of great help to Katniss in the end! And he was also an awesome character!

plus he died cause katniss was daydreaming and gale had to tell her get up the ladder and so finnick died cause katniss was being stupid and useless per usual.

I would save Prim. The whole reason behind Katniss turning into the icon of the rebellion was because she volunteered to take Prim's place at the Games. Prim dying means that ultimately everything Katniss and Peeta (He did it all for her right?)did was meaningless. I think Katniss deserved atleast that!

It's a toughc call, because I also would like to save Finnick or Cinna, but Prim's death shcoked me the most, so I'll save her.

I would have saved Rue. There was an innocence about her, and the way her character was built up, you felt the need to keep her alive.

I can' decide so I will put them in order of importance to me:
1. Rue
2. Finnick
3. Cinna
4. Prim

I would choose Finnick. The other deaths I could at least understand, they contributed to the story, but Finnick just died and he was my favorite character! That's the one death I still can't get over after reading the book.
