((Good idea. The summer solstice is today, btw!))
Josh couldn't help but smile, watching his baby finally find such simple joy was a precious miracle to him. "Good." He finished for Skylar. "I kn-know." While he was a full-out werewolf, his sense of taste had become astounding. He tasted everything for as much as it could give.

"Uhm," Josh wanted to. He did. And really, he was hungry. But it had become like it had been before he shifted. All food, no matter how hungry he was, became unappealing. Imagine transforming on a full stomach. "N-No, thanks. You go ahead though." He smiled, happy as hell for him.
((LOL Are you feeling bad for poor Joshy?))
Josh sat there, happily listening to his finacée speak in what sounded like auditory sex, and played with his unused spoon.

((Maybe he should. ;) ... And okay. For you. It's too late for tonight, though. :/ Wedding day?))
Josh's head snapped up at the English and he smiled back lopsidedly, sighing out, "G-God I love you too."

Josh followed after, hugging Skylar's coat closer around him as he shivered, feeling the pain on and off now. Every time he shook, the hand holding Skylar's tightened momentarily, as if clinging on for life. 'Cause really, if he were to put his life in anyone's hands, there was no question it would be Skylar. "So t-tired..." He yawned, leaning against Skylar as they walked and closed his eyes, trusting him to guide him safely.
"No..." Josh murmered, cuddling into his arm as they walked up the front steps. "N-Never too tired for... for that..."
Josh tagged along behind, most of his sleepiness gone somehow as clothes hit the floor. "I don't th-think so..."
...
...
Josh rolled over onto his side and rested his head against Skylar's chest with a sigh. "Yeah?" He said. "I p-performed well then?"
Josh nodded, satisfied, and yawned with an animal-like pitch. "Good. 'Cause y...you're the only one getting it."
Josh listened to him yawn and smiled, knowing what had happened. "You know you are." He said, serenely. "You're m-my sexy french man."
There it was again. A secret wall he had hit. Josh watched Skylar sleep, and couldn't help but feel hurt he wouldn't share with him. He sighed, then closed his eyes as well.
((:D))
Josh sat up almost immediately, never being quite asleep to begin with. Plus, the incident with the little girl had put him on edge with every noise and shadow. "Sky...?"
Josh sat up almost immediately, never being quite asleep to begin with. Plus, the incident with the little girl had put him on edge with every noise and shadow. "Sky...?"
Fed up with these noises never letting him sleep, (he hadn't spent a night as human yet without them waking him up prematurely), Josh slid out of bed. There was no point in trying to wake Skylar up. He put on a pair of simple black flannel pjama bottoms, and, leaving his side of the bed empty, left the room and started down the hallway to follow the noises.
As the noise of the audience and the speaker blasted throughout the square, Josh flinched and his hands shot to his ears to try and block it out. Then his eyes darted around, taking in his surroundings with disbelief. What? Wait... What? He frowned deeply, and shivered suddenly conscious he was wearing nothing but thin pants as the chill air settled around his bare shoulders. Okay, if he hadn't sleep walked before, he was now. This was definately a dream.
In a pissed-off-because-I-didn't-sleep-enough way, Josh scowled up at the speaker. Fricking nightmares. Was it possible to be tired in a dream? All he wanted to do was toss a brick at the guy and tell his to shut his loud mouth so, whether this was a dream or not, everyone could go back to their lives. However, the crowd seemed like they had nowhere else to be. Nay, nowhere else they wanted to be, and that within itself somehow gave the air a bit of an electric charge. The self-perpetuating energy of a mob. Nice.
He narrowed his eyes and stared up at the two individuals put to the stand. Beautiful people, in an old world of dirt. Vaguely, he wondered what kind of crime they had been charged with...

Josh listened quietly, maybe flinchingly at times, and watched the proceedings. He shivered, hugging himself from what may or may not have been the cold. There was a spark in the moment, it's meaningful charge strong enough to raise goosebumps on his arms. Every moment, he became less and less convinced it was a dream, and maybe something more. But that was impossible, and he couldn't let his mind go there. He wouldn't. Josh stood, bare feet frozen on the mucky cobblestone street, and watched in understandable horror as the blade of the guillotine dropped, bringing a dead silence ringing in his ears as the bodies fell apart.
A wave of mortal nausea, something he hadn't felt in a while, sank it's teeth into his mind sickeningly. But it was dulled by a sudden and hesitant curiosity... From his vantage point, Josh had caught just a basic image of what the child looked like, although he couldn't be sure... But how could it be? There were plenty of children out there who shared his fiancée's name. Past and present.
Still, he decided to push his way through the crowd, if just to settle his own peace of mind.

Josh didn't look. Somehow, he knew what the crowd was cheering for, and it just made the nausea bite even harder. How could so many people be so heartless at once? It was difficult to scout the boy out. He was small, and was able to duck and weave with the skill of a little body. Josh, however, was clumsy and large as a human. If it wasn't for his mother's gift, he probably wouldn't have been able to keep up. His ears tuned for small noises, eyes sharpened for glimpses of the kid, and for the love of all things holy he could even track him by smell if he needed to. Somehow he drowned out the deafening sea of bloodthirsty citizens, and somehow, he found his way to the traumatized boy amid their swarming bodies. "Sky?" Of course, it wouldn't be his Sky and Josh would be proved wrong once and for all, but he needed to be sure.
The sudden white of the bedroom ceiling was like a blinding shock of reality and Josh sat bolt upright in bed, breaking out in a shivering cold sweat. After a moment of unsteady breathing, Josh squeezed his eyes closed, but the prickling sensation didn't disappear. It grew, and the fist in his chest expanded until he couldn't hold it anymore. The night had been traumatizing, in more than one way, and the only way he could react, was to cry. Hiding his face in his hands, ashamed to give in to his tears (although he almost never did), Josh sobbed. His shoulders shook violently, his breaths were ragged and painful; so it was to cry.
Just hearing his voice made Josh cry even harder. He put his arms around him and held him close as possible, fully aware his tears were making them both wet, but not really caring at the moment. "Y-Y-You-u..." His stutter was almost overpowering at the moment. "I d-d-dream-m-pt y-you d-d-died-" He had to pause to gather his breath. "An...n...nd y-your p-par-rents w-were k-kill...k-killed... F-For a c-crowd..."
Josh's sobs slowed, but his breath was shaky and every now and then his chest caught and made his heart jump. He slowly tightened his grip on Skylar and tried to tell himself that it was all right, that Skylar was alive, really alive, and he didn't need to cry anymore. But it felt so real... "It h-h-happened...d..." He said quietly, not knowing how he knew this, but was sure of it anyway.
Josh immediately switched positions and gathered him up in his own arms this time. "Oh Sk-ky..." He murmered, hugging him tightly. "Cry hun... I'm s-sorry....y..." Again, he began to choke up as he watched his baby crying. "So sor-ry..."
Josh let him. He could feel the emotion pouring out of him, and he encouraged it. It was relief, it was mourning. He cuddled into him, and drew Skylar onto his lap at the same time. "'S okay," He murmered, over and over, running a hand down his back in an effort to comfort him. He hurt for him, could understand his deep sadness.
Josh looked down at him, and then reached out to wipe the remains of the tears from his face. "Sky..." he said quietly, not sure what else to say.
Josh paused, now able to hear his mother in Skylar's voice. It made his hands tremble for another moment, and he swallowed before continuing. "I love you." He said simply, meaning each syllable. "I'm so sorry that h-happened to you..."
Josh cuddled up onto him and sighed deeply. "Yeah..." He murmered, a little distractedly. His mind kept jumping back to the last image of Skylar and his parents, the blood and the immense sadness. It was a hateful power that nightmares had. It was as if they fixed themselves on default, just waiting for your mind to relax in order to have the worse impact possible. He shuddered. Somehow, the images made his mind wander to his own mother, her own death - although he hadn't witnessed it like Skylar had. "I'll be here," He said quietly. "When... When you need me..."
Of course, Josh couldn't fall back asleep now. How Skylar could, was beyond him. He carefully rolled off him and laid on his own half of the bed, staring at the ceiling again, just waiting for morning. Even as his time as a wolf, he had never wanted morning so badly.
He almost felt the weight lift off him. Josh sat up, now glad he wasn't wearing a shirt so he could actually feel the sun on his skin. He turned and watched Skylar sleep, enchanted for a moment.
Josh sighed and suddenly flopped over, making the bed bounce. He craned his neck from an awkward position to kiss Skylar's ear gently. He put an arm around him and pulled him closer.
Indeed, he did. "Hey b-baby." He murmered, kissing throat softly. "Feel better?" He asked, inching impossibly closer.
Josh didn't even notice, because he was just as into it as Skylar was. He slowly moved so that his face was overtop, their shoulders overlapping. If it was possible, he was able to deepen it even further. "T-Take that as a y...yes?" He breathed down at them after they had paused, and adjusted his arm so he was able to let his fingers explore his blond hair.
Josh's smile ebbed as he watched Skylar's expression. "Hun?" He said quietly. "You s-sure you're okay? It's o-over now..." He bit the inside of his lip worriedly.
Josh was quiet for a moment. He was used to Skylar's games about getting dressed, but his mind was elsewhere. "Sky?"
"Why d-didn't you tell me? Ab...About France?" Josh asked, his voice subdued and carefully poking.
Josh looked at him sadly. "But..." He tried to find an arguement, something to justify his hurt feelings about the secret. "B-But... I..." He sighed and flopped down on his chest, burying his face into his lover's neck. "But if you just t-told me, maybe it would make you feel b-better about it... Get it off your chest..."
It went without saying that Josh forgave him instantly. In fact, "I was n-never angry at you." He said, hugging him back readily. "I just want you to t-trust me, that's all. B-But I understand. I ha...ave my own demons too." He kissed whatever patch of skin, probably a part of Skylar's shoulder, he was closest to.
Josh slid up a little further in the blankets, his arms loosening their grip as his energy moved to occupy itself in the kiss.
"I'm s-sorry..." He really did sound sorry for some reason as he cuddled up into him tiredly. "I tried to keep up...p with you..."
Josh gave a breathless laugh and nodded. "I'm sure we w-will be." He said. "If I got any say in it, anyhow."
Josh turned a vibrant red, and he grinned. "Really? You-You'd give me that night?" He sat up in bed and looked down at Skylar with his big brown eyes. "Seriously?"
Josh smiled and ruffled his fiancée's sunbleached hair happily. "Then I will... As l-long as you take a t-turn too."
((You know what, it's totally fine. I understand. I miss it too, although I know that might seem a little hard to believe. :P
We should find another site we're both on, just incase we do get kicked off for some reason. Then we can keep our stories going. :) ))

((Mmm, no... I never go on Facebook... Deviantart maybe?
And, no, I didn't... I was just going to reply later. I'm literally lying in bed right now half asleep, so anything I say will be super crappy. :P I'll reply tomorrow? Sorry...))
Josh's eyes widened and he paused. "Really?" That would, literally, be his first time as a top while human. A big step.

((Sweet! I'm going to try and be more active on there... My deviations are super old. Lol. I'm usually on there for the fanart. :P link: http://ungratefulllama.deviantart.com/ ))
Josh frowned at him teasingly, his brow creasing in goofy little lines. "Now wh-why would I hold back?" He asked, mostly likely rhetorically, and rubbed his eyes to try and get rid of a sudden blurriness from being tired.

Josh, an eternal smile plastered on his face, watched Skylar get dressed. Honestly, watching him get in and out of bed were his favorite times of day. He was maybe thinking of putting a hoodie on (he always wore the same navy blue one. It was a favorite) if he decided to get up at some point...
Josh caught his hand before it was able to escape and gave it a strong kiss. "Of c-course." He said, and swung his legs out of bed. "What are we d-doing?"
((Ooh! :D))
((Ooh! :D))
"The what? The squ..."Josh stopped, suddenly realizing. Unable to stop his word, he finished it slowly. "...are...." He blinked at Skylar. "Oh. W-We don't have to go there, Sk-ky. There are pl-lenty of other places we could go s-see." He pulled Skylar into a brief but tight hug. "I don't want to g-go anywhere that m-makes you uncomfortable, 'kay hun?"
"I have to be, that's all you d-deserve." Josh smirked and pecked him affecionately. "Want to go n-now, or af...after-r breakfast?"
Josh smirked and gave him a look that said, 'come on now'. "Since wh-when do we actually eat breakfast on the t-table?"
