Emily I would have to agree with Ami! But seeing as it is not on the list I would definetly say Pride and Prejudice as long as I get to be with Mr Darcy!

Harry potter (excluding the you-know-who era)
LOTR - the shire (those hobbits sure like to have fun)
Breakfast at Tiffany's

I did think of the classics but I don't think that I would handle how people actually lived back then.

The witch of Portobello " Paulo Coelho" i would love to be Athena,i would love to experiance the life she had,to be as strong as she was,it would be nice to have such courage... :)

I'd like to be a guard in one of the Discworld books (maybe not one of the few ones that die)
or
One of the devils in Stefano Benni's "Elianto"
or
a razor guy in Neuromancer's world

2. Harry Potter
3. Narnia
4. Ingary, the country where Howl's Moving Castle is set.

Each and every book I ever read. I have my own movie version of book in my mind. All the scenes, characters, locations, I picture everything.
Although, I would prefer to be a part of any of Jane Austen's novels. Love the description in each of her writings.

1. Pride and Prejudice
2. Narnia

All of you guys wanna live in something big, but i wanna live in the Ommaley world and be a part of family with them.
(Omalley Series, Dee Henderson).

I could live in:
The Secret Garden
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Harry Potter
LOTR

Probably whichever book I am reading and love at that moment. I would love to meet/be Elizabeth Bennett, but right now I'm reading Emma, and that would be fascinating as well. Harry Potter, Twilight, Fifth Life of the Cat Woman, Nora Roberts' Three Sisters Island Trilogy...so many lovely books!

1st and foremost - Pride and Prejudice
2nd - Vanity Fair - i would be a killer Becky
3rd - Emma
4th - Athenais de Montespan - Mistress to Louis XIV

These are the first to spring to mind.

Kafka on the Shore
Breakfast at Tiffanys
Persuasion
The Invisible Road
Daylight

Wow. I cannot think of a single book I would want to live in! Not in Austen's time, considering women's lives then. Most of my favorite books are heavy tragedies, so no, I don't want to live in them. If I do think of something I'll get back to you.

Discworld - as a witch

Considering the roles available for females and hygiene (esp. the Toilets), sorry, not Jane Austen.
So:
1. A modern Maeve Binchy novel
2. Any Sophie Kinsella novel

1. Pride and Prejudice
2. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
3. The Mortal Instruments series

Just to name a few...

Pride and Prejudice of course :3

I would love to live in The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines.
I would love to travel and be on a real quest. :)

I'm a heathen...I hated Jane Eyre, and Pride and Prejudice. I'd love to live in Harry Potter books, but even more in the Wayless Woods of Inkheart...as long as Dustfinger was around.
