Gis, everyone here watches it and we ALL talk about the characters like they're real! I always ask my girls (in yearbook) about what I forget. Lol
Not really. The book explains us more about each of them. While the show was kind of rushing to wrap everything up.

I was hoping to find out things I missed because I started watching in season 2
Can I join you guys to read the whole series? I've only read the first book and that was like a year ago, so I'm going to re-read it..I've watched the tv-series but like I've heard from friends that have read the books that things are different? Like hair colour? (LOL!! such a small thing, I know, I know!) Ezra is apparently blond but in the tv-series he has brown hair?? I'll just have to get used to whatever differences there are :P
I can't wait for season 4 to begin, a week left!!!!! :D

It's on the 11th!! hahaha, the hair, I mean it seems like such a minor detail but it means so much to me..I can't see Ezra as a blond guy, like after having watched the show for 3 years now, it's just weird!! we'll have to get used to it I guess (:

I didn't know Ezra was blonde :) , that's going to be odd to me. Especially where I'm use to him having brown hair. When I start reading the books they're going to be talking about some blonde guy and I ain't going to have any clue who they are talking about. now I'll just have to remember that. :D

Trinity, I don't know if that was meant for me but I did look at the BookTube-a-thon and have a question. If I join it am I supposed to read all 7 categories within a week or pick one or more and just complete those?
It's meant for everyone! :) Your supposed to read a book for each category in a week. You're also supposed to see how many categories you can combine. For example, if I read Little Women, it'd count as four categories for me because I read 300 pages of it for one day, it has 500+ pages, it's a classic, and it's been on my shelf forever :) So that way I can get majority of the challenges knocked out the way :D
Alright, I'm at Chapter 5. I'm liking it so far, although it's a lot more label-conscious and The Clique-ish than the tv series. And a lot more drinking/drugs. Did Spencer always smoke? I don't think so...
Not sure how I feel about the changes. I usually like books like this, but I think the TV series made the right decision when they cut it. Rosewood is a lot more interesting when it isn't so preppy-perfect.
I love this book. It doesn't really pick up til about 3/4 of the way through, but I'm hooked anyway! Let me know when we're going to do #2. :-) Enjoy the hijinks of these girls - they are nuts!

I've only read through How It All Started and I never saw all seasons of the TV series, so I'm not sure about the smoking but I think not. I am glad they cut that, too, especially since the series is meant for teens (even though it draws adults).
This is almost completely different than TV according to my girls. So I'm glad I didn't watch the series. It's hard enough to keep track of the characters in the BOOK, let alone the difference with the show, lol!
I know and I got the book so I could find out what I missed in the TV series...oh well...back to confusion! LOL
I just finished ch. 6, so how is everyone else doing? Are we reading at our own pace or doing the 5 chapters and check in (which I'm ready to start ch. 7).Someone help me with this if you've read the first 3 chapters (I think): Did I miss something or what? At the end of ch. 6 Emily gets a (view spoiler) That's the first time reading this book that I felt like I really WANT to go on. Like I want to find out what's happening.
I'll stop here until I hear from others to see how far you're all going. I'll get to a couple other buddy reads for a while.
Vicki - They're by Hollis, so I'm assuming its a college-town area where people don't check IDs too carefully? Besides, Aria lived in Europe so she's used to going to bars (where she's legal), so I'm guessing they just assumed she was of age by how composed & nonchalant she was. I'm in the middle of chapter 8 at the moment, but let's check in every 5?

Becky, don't misunderstand me! I'm enjoying the book!! I was reading while waiting but was antsy at the same time. I waited twice as long as they said I would. I had to get a crown and the first one had a hole in it so they had to make another. Had they told me I would've had less irritation! Lol

Oh I completely understand hon! I liked it too. But when it REALLY grabbed me and made me WANT more was in the last chapter.

Becky, when do you need to have it back by? I'm just leisurely reading this one, but I can go at a faster pace if need be. I'm currently on Ch. 11 (pg. 87 in my NOOK). I am reading a few pages here, a few pages there, of about 6 books right now. LOL If I had NOTHING else in life to do but read, I'd be all right! LOL Anyway I'm not sure where anyone else is in the book, but I'm getting ready to read a few more chapters and then pick up
again. That book is SO good!!!

HAH Vicki and Becky I'm impressed that you could even put Immortal Rules down! I didn't have the willpower. I practically read it straight through it was that amazing. I finished PLL last night. I thought it was... okay. For the first time I actually thought a television show executed the premise better than the book. Her writing style, to me, doesn't seem well suited for the mystery when I compare it to how suspenseful the television show is. It just reminds me of the light, airiness that are the clique books (and then all horror in the scene disappears). Plus, these characters are soooo irresponsible that it annoys me ((view spoiler))
I'm not sure if I'm going to read the next one. If I have the time then I'll read it with you guys, but if not I won't be too bummed.
