Sherri, that is the most random, direct, and precise qustion I've ever been asked here at TC!

You win a prize.

Let me find one...

*skurfuffles around*

"Here you go!" and hands Sherri a baby Ficus.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I have discovered a hairball with my bare feet. It wasn't pleasant.
On the other hand, if I'd been wearing shoes, I would have tracked it around for awhile, which is even worse.

Hee hee.

Do you have a catnip plant, Sherri or Jackie?

message 54: by Félix (last edited Apr 24, 2009 02:38PM) (new)

Félix (habitseven) Stepping in cat barf is worse when it's not a hairball -- just regurgitated food that squeezes up between your toes and smells like old dead fish.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments No catnip plants, but we have lemon mint growing next to the back porch which one of my cats used to love.

Oh, and I have catnip mice, toy mice I store in a tin filled with dried catnip.

Félix (habitseven) This is Sally's thread -- so we need to see pictures of her pets, too.

She talks so much - it's not hard to get her little pink mouth open.

message 61: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Can't imagine a life without cats around.

message 62: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments Me too Sherri. And I've had to live without them for about 3 years now. I'm hoping we'll be in a house by summer so I can get a kitten by my bday.

Sally, she is adorable. And she looks fiesty! :)

Like this, but with flamingos on them. They remind me of my Grandpa Donahue.

message 71: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Did he like flamingos?

message 72: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
No he liked golf/house shoes that had tops like that.

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
lounge shoes?

message 74: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I just call them slippers -- but they're soft and comfortable. LL Bean has some of the best. They last forever.

message 75: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell They look like moccasins.

Let's talk more about shoes.

message 78: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I've been wearing my Red Wing work boots to the office lately because of all of the snow and crap on the streets. I don't actually need steel toes in a cubicle.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I'm tired of my shoes getting soaked. I need waterproof walking shoes, I guess. But, NOT these:

Been there, done that! So not going back.

message 80: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) What about your boots, Jackie? Your boots look great.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments They are great, Larry, but they have a heel, and I don't like wearing heels every day.

Lori Keens! That's what I wear, trudging thru the mud at the park with the dog. My socks don't get wet at all.

Mary (madamefifi) What?? A thread about shoes?? How did I miss this!!!

I just bought these:

message 87: by Mary (new)

Mary (madamefifi) These are my favorite spring-time shoe:

I'm excited about being able to wear them next month when we go on vacation since they are completely impractical and therefore perfect for lounging around in on a cruise ship.

Mary (madamefifi) Wouldn't be caught dead in:

Mary (madamefifi) Lest you all think I'm traipsing about in silly shoes 24/7 (I wish), these are my everyday around-the-house shoes:

message 90: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Damn. Mary knows her shoes.

I live right by the headquarters of Allen-Edmonds, a high-end shoe place so I buy their shoes bcause of 1) local pride, and 2) the fact I can get them from their outlet store.

I've got two pairs...one that looks kind of like these...

http://www.mensblackdressshoes.com/im...

and one that looks kind of like these...

http://images0.lkimg.com/product-imag...

I used to wear only the brown ones but my students mocked me for never matching so I bought another black pair.

My favorite shoes, I think, are a set of Cabela's hiking boots/shoes like this:

http://www.gore-textravelfootwear.com...

Other than running shoes and a cool set of Nike sandals you have just now experienced my entire footwear collection.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've owned, and I don't even have to remember how to tie them :-)

Catalina | 268 comments Three things to say:

1) Sally, I shall have your kitty.

2) I can't wait until summer. I've lost some weight (thanks to break-up stress) and plan on dressing like a hussy at every opportunity this summer.

3) Regarding shoes, see comment #2.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Woo, those are some fancy heels, Mary! I wouldn't be caught dead in shoes that high, though.

Cute clogs, I like 'em.

message 99: by Lori (new)

Lori I could never wear heels like that! I once tried, and couldn't walk but teeter tottered.
