Rannie wrote: "I watched the Royal Shakespeare Company perform several years ago. They began by speaking slowly and clearly in the first act, then sped up as the audience caught on. I thought it was brilliant on the director's part. ..."I agree. Neat. Thanks, Rannie.
I haven't had Kaopectate but find its history interesting. How about that? Nothing new under the sun?
Perfect for the lazy days of summer, Lynne. I have only read two Brown books but i think the same can be said for them. I appreciate the note.
Thanks for sharing, Lynn. I keep seeing Inferno on the best seller Amazon list. I was at the library with a friend the other day and we checked her account. There are over 500 holds on the book. They have 45 copies.
Been a crazy couple of weeks and I don't think I posted my May reads. Only two which seems about par for me, but I have been reading more lately and when I go to our cottage for 2 weeks, I'll be reading much more.Chasing Mona Lisa I'd probably give this book 2 and a half stars. It wasn't my cup of tea. I'm not a historical fiction reader, but thought I'd give this one a try. A book should not take to page 200 to capture my attention to make me want to read more. I found I had to force myself to read it. The characters weren't engaging, the writing wasn't anything special and nothing really happened until late in the book. I probably wouldn't have bothered finishing it if it weren't for a book group on Goodreads that picked it out. 2.5/5
Whiskey Sour This was a good thriller, although it was pretty descriptive of the torture, but thankfully not a whole lot. Loved the main character's dry humor, the flow of the writing which kept my interest. I have downloaded free copies of about 4 more in this series and look forward to reading them. 4/5

Interesting, Rannie ! I never knew there was clay in it. It seems though that they have changed the formula over the years.
From Wiki
The active ingredient in Kaopectate has changed since its original creation. Originally, kaolinite was used as the adsorbent and pectin as the emollient. Attapulgite (a type of absorbent clay) replaced the kaolinite in the 1980s, but since 2004, bismuth subsalicylate has been used as the active ingredient in U.S. marketed products.
