The only thing that would really happen is the fling of widows--which could be frowned upon, but it's not exactly illegal.

@ Matt, they would be considered the bottom of the class.
Since like Xylon, their are Social Ladders inside the classes themselves.

Due to Camille's ability the Royal Guard wants her.
Camille will turn nineteen in about a month.
If Camille doesn't join the Royal Guard she will be forbidden from using her powers.
At what level of endangerment is a noble likely to be in if they don't join? Does it depend on their ability? And if so, would Camille's ability put her at high risk of this?
Camille is a high class noble arranged to marry another high class noble.
If she does joins the Royal Guard would that affect her arranged marriage?
Would she have to marry another member of the Royal Guard?
How would that politically affect her family if she did join the Royal Guard?
I feel the need to make either choice a horrible one because a) the Royal Guard is corrupted and b) the person she is marrying is a tool of the Royalty and a complete egotistic jerk on the side(Volunteers? XP)
"At what level of endangerment is a noble likely to be in if they don't join?"
They're in no danger unless they're extremely noticed by the Royal Guard. It's not what ability they have per say, it's how they use it that gets them the attention. The attention she gets is up to you.
"If she does joins the Royal Guard would that affect her arranged marriage?"
She would still be considered a Noble if she joined the Guard--so then she has the choice to either marry a Noble or marry someone in the Guard. The only way someone is in the Social Class "Royal Guard" is if they are born into it, or if they disband their family completely.
"How would that politically affect her family if she did join the Royal Guard?"
Welp, since the high class people are mostly comprised of the Royal Guard, I'm sure it can't hurt their reputation, if that's what you're asking. It's a double-edged sword... some will hate them for Camille's decision, some would like them for it. It all depends on which side of the crowd you are trying to please... though the one's that would support her being in the guard are the more important/influential/high class people that actually matter.

Now I'm wondering if and why she would draw attention to herself, I don't think she would do it purposely unless there was a good reason to have to use her powers. >_>

None of those are stupid. :P
Okay, a person's power comes to be known because people talk. There are at least five guards in every district, so word gets around particularly fast.
Just because you have a power doesn't mean you have to join the Royal Guard. It's just a law that at the age of nineteen, you must cease using your power if you wish not to be in the guard--if you disobey this law, you can either join the guard or die.

Hey erm Rose ^^' I do not want to be trouble, but I am mostly done my character and all I need to fill in is the power category, but I'm not sure if the ones I chose are acceptable, do you mind just going to that thread and seeing if they are?

Thanks so much!
For ease of RP just make it a tad proper, but for the main part the same as the way we speak. :)
(: So for the dress of the people,
what do they wear? I know you had said before kind of uptight and not a lot of skin showing clothes, but does that mean victorian era gowns and rags or just kind of closed shirts and long pants?
Also! What are the streets made out of and the buildings? O: The city is called Porcelain Glass so I was just curious before I post something and get it terribly wrong!

Come to think of it, I'm kind of curious myself. Is the city made of porcelain?
That's open to interpretation :) I personally have been RP'ing with the girls in long skirts and dresses while the males are in working clothes and such. I just think it's fun that way--but it's really up to you. As long as nobody's character is wearing hooker boots and dancing to the thong song, I'm okay with variation of attire throughout the RP's.
The city is not made out if Porcelian :P

And the streets? are they made out of cobblestone or cement?
Oh alright! x3
