The Duchess War by Courtney Milan - (6/29/2013) ★★★★
Shelf: Cover Love
A beautiful and frustrating story of two very differently scarred people.
Minnie is an intelligent woman who has had to suppress her character for most of her life in fear of her past being discovered. She barely knows who she is anymore, buried as deep as she is in the fake self she's been forced to hide behind, but the strength of her personality cannot stay hidden forever.
Robert is a duke unlike any other, desperately trying not to be like his father, the typical arrogant and entitled aristocrat who cared only for himself. He is like a heartbreakingly adorable wounded puppy starved for love and feeling undeserving of it.
The two challenge and push each other and at the same time understand and make one another better, as great couples do. Their circumstances make their relationship difficult and they sometimes sabotage it themselves, but in the end they manage to find their way, heal together and let go of their past.
Beautifully written with complex, realistic characters and enough ups and downs to make it frustrating, this was a very enjoyable book and I'm looking forward to reading the rest in the series, starting with Lydia's novella, A Kiss For Midwinter.

Prophecy by Ellen Oh - (6/30/2013) ★★★★★
Shelf: Angels And Demons
A great fast paced fantasy book with Korean culture undertones. I read it in one sitting and wanted to jump straight into the next one, which, alas, hasn't been published yet.
An ancient prophecy leads our heroes to an adventure, while a war is imminent and the odds overwhelming.
Likable, interesting characters, demons and battles with supernatural elements and a mysterious prophecy that directly affects our heroes, make this book a delight to read.
Really looking forward to the sequel, Warrior and Kira and the gang's next adventure.

No, that is okay. I started my free space book today and I'm hoping to have it done by tomorrow night and then I can do my cover love book next and so forth.

Title/Author: Immortal Rider by Larissa Ione
Read for shelf: angels & demons
Date finished: 7/1/13
Rating: ★
Review: This one star rating is not because the main plot but because of a sub plot that led to book #3 in the series. On it's own, this book was OK even if I found the business of unconditional love a bit dubious given what Limos had done (view spoiler)
If you want to know details about why I gave the book this rating, please check out my review but it's full of spoilers: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I'm so sad this trilogy is over! I've loved these books since the beginning! I think the author did a very good job in wrapping things up!

My Review:
I am loving this series! Blaze is the follow up to Fever and I am not ashamed to say it was the cover that initially caught my eye, but after reading and loving Fever it automatically jumped to auto-buy and Blaze has just cemented it's status on that list.
This was a one sitting read for me and I really can't wait for Rush, Mitch's story promises to be a good one. The more I find out about these characters, the more I want to know. The conspiracies against them has me hooked and wondering what will come next!

Would like several shelves but not mentioning any so I don't jinx them. ;)

I should be done with my cover love book today so we can get another stamp!

Read: 6/7/13
Rated: 3 Stars
My Review: I picked this up because I am a huge Darynda fan, however it took me a while to get into it. I loved the last few chapters though and the revelations will have me picking up the next book.
It was just lacking something in the beginning, and I can't quite put my finger on what!

That book is AWESOME! I'm planning to re-read it but just before #2 is released.

Finished: July 7th

Review:
This was a nice start to this series although I felt the book was too short. I didn't like whole jumping to the past and present between the two sisters in each chapter because I was confused at first at what the heck was going on in this story, but then I kinda got used to it as I read further on in the story. I was interested enough in this first book that I will continue this series and read book two when it releases!

3 Stars 07.07
I liked it more then not, so i put 3 stars. This time it's Lore's time to find love and someone to live his life with. As always in this series they are fighting at first with each other and then they can be together, but end up any way. This book is filled with a lot of action and love :P

I'll have to check out that lip gloss you recommended.

Title/Author: Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
Read for shelf: dystopian
Date finished: 7/11/13
Rating: ★★★★½
Review: This book was AWESOME! It had two great leads and a very interesting story with great parallels about living in fake worlds instead of real ones. The dystopian aspect wasn't as strong but it was definitely there. Completely recommended!

The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau- ★★★★ (7/12/2013)
Shelf: Dystopian
The story of a girl and a boy who imagined a world better than the one they lived in and had the courage to seek it.
Fast paced and engaging, the story introduces the city of Ember, where the electricity that keeps everything working is steadily failing and the supplies are dwindling. Doon, a smart boy that has an affinity for figuring out how things work, is determined to find a way to help the city survive, while Lina dreams of another city full of light.
After finding a damaged document with strange instructions for what seems to be a way out of Ember, they team up and do their best to find if it's true.
Next comes The People of Sparks, where Lina and Doon continue their adventure.
