I know we have to come up with a team name. I'm not very good at that, but a google search I did for funny names came up with one that made me chuckle: "Bibliobabblers". I also will suggest "Word Warriors" as well.

Play on nine
Love book #9
Cloud Nine Readers
Nine Inch Books
Ninth Gate Demon Librarians
Ninety Nine Point Nine
Not very creative I'm afraid.

I thought of a couple more nine names
"On Cloud Nine"
"Nine Ladies Dancing"
"Nine Lives"
Anyone know what they're reading for Free Space yet?
Hiya all !!! Preethi here ! Actually, this is my first Bingo Challenge !!

I think Heather will be a perfect captain!
I am glad that this is the only week I will have to suffer horrible work problems. (We lost some key employees this week, so I have to work 6p-6a for the rest of this week. :( )
That is okay because next week I will be back to my normal schedule which is only 10p-6a. As for team names, I was in the last Team 9 group and we were the Cloud Nine Assassins. So maybe not something with Cloud Nine.
Here are some other suggestions...
AssaNINE Book Assailants (working off nine)
Vivacious Mega Literary Punching (Party) Hotties (off our initials)
Vivacious Literary Party Hot Mammas
Victorious Perfume-Hatin' Literary Mamacitas
(The first one makes me think of those goofy kung fu movies where at the last second we pull out a book and whack someone over the head.)
The others were something were in another group we played with initials. I couldn't think of any other word for other initials that had to do with books or reading so I kept literary.

Modern Hotties Perusing Literary Volumes
Hot Mommas Perusing Literary Volumes
or a take on one of yours
Very Hot Mammas Literary Party
I also really like AssaNINE Book Assailants...liked your Kung Fu movie analogy-too funny!

I'm pretty easygoing on names, so I am fine with whatever the majority wants, but can weigh in a vote if a tiebreaker is needed.
Val - my email inbox is so confused these days. I look forward to my GR notification everyday of your post over on the Freebie board, but now I am getting so many from you on this too! :D You are almost solely to blame for the hundreds of freebies on my kindle.

I'm easy with name choice as well, it is fun to try to come up with them though. My top vote so far would go to AssaNINE Book Assailants. Anyone else have a favorite so far?

Preethi, are you okay with me being captain? I think everyone else has said they were ok.

You being captain sounds good, Heather.
And, I am not very specific on the team names.. Whatever is the majority is fine by me !! Although AssaNINE Book Assailants sounds good to me.

And, regarding the shelves.. Number 11. * Freebie not from the Goodreads shelf with that name, right?

Preethi, correct, it is not based on a GR shelf. This is a personal shelf where you will read a book that you got for free, either as a free ebook, a loaned ebook, a library book, or are borrowing it somehow. I sometimes over explain things so please let me know if that does not clear things up.

Hi, Heather. Actually, the freebie will be either/or. There is a shelf. Steph mentions it here. You could pick a book from the shelf, even if said book was one you bought. Does that make sense? I think Steph set it up this way so those players who don't have a lot of free books (or reliable access to a library) wouldn't stress out or find the shelf to be unfair. I think the page number rule still applies, as well.

I figured that was another reason for the shelf link: free novellas and short stories would be less than 200 pages.

Oops! I totally missed that part. Should have gone back and read Steph's notes on it before answering Preethi. Sorry! I was answering your question very late last night after a long day at work and then a long kids birthday party where we didn't get home until almost 10pm. I should have took more time answering that. Thanks for catching that Christina!

You're welcome! :)

I'm right there with you. I enjoy listening to books on tape on my commute, and tend to listen to YA since those are pretty easy to follow. When it comes to physically picking up a book though, YA is usually one of my least favs.

Review: I'm not really sure why I liked this book as much as I did, considering all the things that irritated me throughout the story...But I did like it quite a bit. The main character, Secret, is half vampire and half werewolf; which I thought brought an interesting, unique element, not normally encountered in the paranormal world. I liked the idea that she was this tough-as-nails, warrior chick, out to rid the world of evildoers...Strong women are always a plus in my mind. She is a bounty hunter who has supposedly earned quite a notorious reputation for herself in the vampire world. Here is where some of the irritation came in...I was expecting someone with fighting skills more like Cat from the Night Huntress series; but every time there was a fight scene, I was extremely disappointed. After finishing the book, I'm still not quite sure how Secret developed such a notorious reputation. I thought her fighting skills were poor at best, and she made terrible decisions...But somehow it always worked out for her in the end. I thought the story was a little too short with not enough world building...I would have loved to learn more details about the vampire and werewolf worlds, as well as more explanation of the Oracle. The Oracle seemed out of place without more background story and character development. Maybe we'll learn more of this in the next installments. The biggest irritation to me, however, was the love triangle element...I think it distracted more from the story than helped it. It was somewhat comical, and I couldn't take Secret's feelings for either of them too seriously. One love interest would have been more than enough. Despite these things, the story moved at a fast pace and I was never bored. It is full of many interesting characters that I look forward to learning more about in future books. It did finish on a little bit of a cliffhanger, which can sometimes be disappointing...But this time it just made me that much more interested in reading the next book in this series.

Sorry to critique your work but I'm a visual person...could you add the cover pictures once the book is read? I know I should never judge a book by it's cover but I do.
@Meghan: I'm really interested to know what you think of Grave Mercy....because Audiobook Sync will have it as a free download on July 18 – July 24, 2013.
If you missed this week's freebies....well it's until the 5th.
On May 30 – June 5, 2013

Val, I can add covers when I get home tonight. It may be tomorrow though if things get to crazy with my sons fifth grade graduation this afternoon. I originally didn't put them to shrink the post size but if you all would prefer to see them I totally understand.
