R7: Team #8 ~ Octing Up

A good start to a series. I liked the action in it and the story kept a good pace. I liked the main character although I wasn't sure about the soul bonded threesome! Her love life is one of her main problems and the writer hints that it will get even more so. I will be reading the next in the series.

This is the ultimate Dark Hunter book and it is by far my favourite. The first part of the book is incredibly hard to read as his past is so painful but the second part really helps lift your spirits. Tory is great for Ash and there are some hilarious parts (sprite!). Highly recommend this to anyone!

Okay, seriously, these books keep blowing me out of the water. Just when I think the series can't get better, Josephine Angelini puts out the next book, and my jaw drops. Such an awesome trilogy, and Goddess was such a perfect ending. And can everyone just agree with me that the cover is one of the bests in YA, ever? So pretty.

However, I finished Widow's Web yesterday on my lunch hour and haven't had time to write up a review yet. I'll try to get it written and the thread updated this afternoon.
Great Job everyone!

I've been trying to force myself to continue since it's the last book in the series, but I'm just not in the mood at the moment. If

Yes! These books are on my must buy and keep list.

Review: While I'm still wild about this series and really enjoyed this book, there were a few problems that were hard to overlook.
Gin's inner strength, determination to finish the job and inability to let an innocent suffer are just a few of the things that make her such a formidable foe. That's why her actions just didn't ring true for me. I don't believe she would hesitate for a minute to take out a psychotic killer, even if it did jeopardize a relationship she's fought hard to develop. (view spoiler)
Owen ... I can give Owen a little slack. He was wrong in neglecting to tell Gin that an old flame was coming back in town; it came pretty close to crossing the trust line. On the other hand, I can sort of forgive his initial blindness over Salina. She was his first love, Eva never told him the truth (even if he had to be love blind not to see something hinky in Salina's version of events) and the book took place over the course of a handful of days, so he actually came around a lot quicker than some people do in real life. But, his actions and reactions after the final battle were almost too much, not what I expected from the Owen of previous books.
Gin's built a close family out of the few people she's allowed into her life and I really enjoy her personal interactions with them when they appear in the book. I actually would have liked a little more of Finn, Brie and the others.
Overall the positive managed to outweigh the negative and I had trouble putting the book down. I'll definitely be reading book 8.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Good Job!! :D

I'm about a third of the way in, and I like it a lot. I just went to the Fierce Reads signing, and the author (Leigh Bardugo) was there. She was really interesting to listen to, so it made me want to read it more.

I have a horrible habit. I come to SOS, comment about books I've read for one of the games and usually forget to check to see if the paranormal ones are on the group bookshelf. I'm going to try and remember to do so during the course of this game and wanted to ask if you guys would too, if you have the time. That way we can continue to build up possibilities for Free Space reads during future rounds of Bingo.
Thanks everyone.
BTW, I'm starting

* So, I wanted to rate this one 2 stars since it had nothing new- it has all been done before.
* The female lead was the typical gawky girl who didnt fit anywhere.
* The male lead was the typical flirt who noticed everybody but his best friend.
* And the villain just had to kiss her once or twice to make her think he was in love with her.
* What stopped me was that I liked how it was written.

I'm behind this week and it's only Tuesday! LOL. I want to read

Have a great day everyone.

I enjoyed the characters more than the story in this instalment of the Shifters Unbound series. The story seemed to drag for me a bit but I did fall in love with Tiger. The simplicity of his thoughts were fantastic and his love for children was lovely to read. Carly was a good match for him I think and I liked how she stood up for him. I would liked to have had Tiger get some closure on the deaths of his first mate and child though.
I will be reading the next in the series.

I'm glad you finally found a book that drew you in, Vilda.

Yeah, I'm a mood reader, so I think I'll just put it down and try again later. I need to run to work, so I'll decide when I get home which book I'll be reading.

Review: “It's no good choosing your first husband from a school for evil geniuses. Much too difficult to kill.”
Reading E&E was pure fun. The mystery of the prototype was secondary (or is that octonary?) to introducing the world and characters, but that didn't affect my enjoyment of Carriger's humor. She always manages to make me laugh. While E & E is set in the same universe as the Parasol Protectorate and it was quite nice to see some favorite characters in their earlier years, it is not necessary to have read the previous series. If you are in search of a lighthearted read and you enjoy steampunk, I would suggest you give this book a try.
I will definitely be reading the next book in this series.

Ahh...too bad, but will probably pick it up sometime just due to so many liking the writing style, even if the story isn't fantastic & original.
