message 51: by Estella (new)

Estella What are some of your all time favourite books ? And books you think everyone should read ? :)

message 52: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 4 comments It depends on what Im reading at the time. For example, when I was introduced to the Harry Potter books I would read ALL DAY. I was able to finish about a book a day ( usually 500-800 pages). I read more in the summer for some reason, during the school year Im forced o read 30 min a day for English.

message 53: by Camille (new)

Camille Schmidt (hickeyours1944) | 2 comments i try to read at least five chapters of a book a day, but it usually ends up being waaay more.

message 54: by Sapir (new)

Sapir | 407 comments Wow. 500-800 pages in one day!! You're impossible, Rachel.

Anna (Unquenchable Reads) (unquenchablereads) It depends if I'm busy that day or not. I try a at least to read 100 if I'm not busy. Some days I just don't read at all if I'm busy.

Same for me!! Even though I never reach 100.

message 57: by Halah (new)

Halah (valhalah) Same here Rachel! I spent 5 hours straight on each of the last three HP books..
But usually 2 or 3 hours a day if I have the time. I'm a fast reader so I finish a book in that time, if I'm really into it.

message 58: by Riya (new)

Riya I normally finish a 500 page book in 2 days, but right now I'm reading a Hemingway classic which is taking me FOREVER

message 59: by [deleted user] (new)

That depends on the length of the book and what I`m doing.

message 60: by Leigh (new)

Leigh (leighsalv) at least 100pgs per day.

message 61: by claude (new)

claude (claudemo) It varies for me a lot. Some days I can read for hours at a time but some days I can't get through a page! I usually can read a book in about 2-3 days, depending on the number of pages.

message 62: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm a fast reader. I read for 4-6 hours a day. I stay up until like 2 reading a lot of the time

message 63: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nm_karic) | 5 comments I read about five hours too seven hours a day when I'm not in school. Like now, during the summer, but I could go longer if the book really pulls me in. During school I read about four hours a day, though I don't think I ever go a day without reading a book. My parents think I need to get out more... O_o

message 64: by Diana (new)

Diana | 64 comments My mom told me that I've been reading too much lately, which I dont think so. If I am free for the day, I can finish a book thats about 300-400 pgs and then get half way on another book. If I dont, I read as much as I can, which varys. If I had a choice of watching TV or reading this awesome series, I would choose reading!

message 65: by Leigh (new)

Leigh (leighsalv) @Diana: I'm jealous!!

message 66: by Shealyn (new)

Shealyn (ripperbuffy) I read about a book and a half a day :) but since I cant purchase every book I read I got to the library alot since I volunteer there :)

message 67: by Frankie (new)

Frankie | 7 comments I can read about 2 books a day each 400 pages. I read very fast. I am really good at remembering the whole book too. I read almost all day when I do read.

Agreed, That is amazing.

message 70: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Dang I used to be able to finish a book in 2 days but now I have more hobbies. I don't have as much time to read. It usually takes me about 2 weeks now :/

I haven't read both but Kitty's Revenge sounds better!

Sapir | 407 comments Kelli wrote: "I started Promise You won't Tell?
last night before bed and I am done. This book caught my attention from the very beginning. A high school girl hires a private investigator to find out what happen..."

I'm so glad you loved it!! You made me eager to read it.

message 73: by Joana (new)

Joana For me it depends on the book. If the book interesting, I usually finish it in several hours. (I'm a fast reader). If I don't like the book, I usually take an agonizingly long time to finish it.

As for how many books I read, I would say that I read about a book per day. I might have a problem, but I don't mind! :)

message 74: by joehepp (new)

joehepp | 3 comments I'm a pretty fast reader. I read a book and a half in about 5 1/2 hours... Ex: I read the Hunger Games in a little over three hours I spend a huge amount of money on books... That's why I'm broke!

Oh, the life of a bookworm...so expensive *sigh*

message 76: by Lade (new)

Lade (ladet) | 11 comments it depends on how busy I am, what's happening around me and many other things. I could read between 2 pages of one book to 2 books in a day

message 77: by micah (new)

micah (mandersonxoxo) It depends on the book. If it the beginning is good and it hooks me, I carry on reading it until I find a point in which I can put it down. If the book is like City of Glass, then I can read it all night long!:D

message 78: by Caollaidhe (new)

Caollaidhe | 7 comments It depends on how busy. In school? Practically no reading; too much homework. Summer? A book a day.

message 79: by Lasharrifia (new)

Lasharrifia | 2 comments i read 100 pages a day i get lost of time so I'm not sure but i say about 1 1/2 or maybe 2 when i stop for breaks

message 80: by Raevyn (last edited Jul 06, 2013 12:26PM) (new)

Raevyn "Lucia" [I'm in it for the books] (raevynstar) | 43 comments I read pretty fast (sorry if that sounds conceited), so I don't read that many hours, but I read a lot of different times a day. I can finish a Goosebumps book in around an hour total.

message 81: by Helena (new)

Helena (ayeenuh) | 19 comments Im a very fast reader. On an average day I can finish up to three books with pages up to 400; not meaning to brag or anything. If I find the book interesting then I can finish it within a few hours :)

Wow! I wish I could read that fast!:)

message 83: by Isabell (new)

Isabell (you-is-beautiful) It depends. If i like a book i can finish it in a day and move on to the next. If i don't it takes two or three days to finish.

message 84: by Kiara (new)

Kiara Soleil I can read about 100-200 pages a day as long as I'm not busy.

message 85: by Gabrielle (new)

Gabrielle (gabbilynn24) | 18 comments I try to read at least 100 pages a day but since Im usually at work when I read I can get done with a book in a week depending on if I work on weekends or not.

message 86: by shrish (new)

shrish (orshay) I started The Coty of Ashes yesterday. (Properly, like in a paperback, before that II wasn't even concentrating...) and I've finished 77%. I'll probably finish it by tonight. Addicting book. :)

That sure makes a big difference. There are so many books I don't want to put down even to sleep or eat and then there are books that I don't even want to pick up again as they are a chore to read. I will read reviews on The Coty of Ashes.
but it doesn't come up??? who is the author please?

message 88: by [deleted user] (new)

^ She means City of Ashes, by Cassandra Clare.

message 89: by Lo (new)

Lo (darkalleycookies) | 18 comments I can read a lot in one day, but I'm also really lazy.

message 90: by Louisastar27 (new)

Louisastar27 | 5 comments if it as a good book i would stay up and finish it in a day but normally i read around 1-2 books a week

Molly wrote: "^ She means City of Ashes, by Cassandra Clare."

Yes, I finally figured that out, thanks! I clicked on her picture and went to her page where I could see the correct book. Due to goodreads I now read over 100 books a year but I used to read about 75 a year.

message 92: by shrish (new)

shrish (orshay) Oh, sorry, typo!! Yes, I meant the City of Ashes, :)
I finished it on Sunday, that was one of my longest records. :D
