You should introduce yourself on the thread that says introduce yourself and make a thread in the author section to promote your work. Hope this helps. And welcome to goodreads.

I have no idea. I'm not very tech savvy I just do enough posting to know where things go!

I've had the same problem. The way around it that I found to be useful is to put a link to your writing (or your blog or facebook that has your writing also on it) in the website part of your "about me" section. That way people can click on it at the top instead of wading to the bottom of your profile. Hope this helps and welcome to the website :)
