Jaina Rose (ireadtilldawn) | 52 comments I don't remember much about this book, and in fact it could even be a movie - but I'm pretty sure it's a book. I was reading Into the Wild the other day and the aspect of fairy tale characters trapped reliving their past sounded really, really familiar to me. Does anyone know any other books like that? And I keep thinking it might be the Sisters Grimm series, but I really don't think that's it.

Antonomasia It wasn't part of a Jasper Fforde book by any chance?

Jaina Rose (ireadtilldawn) | 52 comments No, I don't think so. I should clarify that it's probably a YA. I don't know what those are, but they don't look familiar. Thanks, though!

Sally (sastevens) | 46 comments The show Once Upon A Time has a plot basically like that.

Wikipedia has a list of books that use a time or temporal loop:

Robert A. Heinlein has a short story about time loops that end up with the oddest relationship between three people. It might be By His Bootstraps.

In other Heinlein books, time loops also occur: TiTime Enough for Love; To Sail Beyond the Sunset

message 8: by Jaina (new)

Jaina Rose (ireadtilldawn) | 52 comments Hmm. I've never actually seen Once Upon a Time, but I've looked it up. I don't think that's it, though.
Thanks for the list, none of them look quite right. I might have been thinking of Groundhog Day, but I'm not sure.
And I don't think any of those are it.

I really think it's some sort of fairy tale book, but I could be wrong. I must have read/watched it only a few years ago, but I don't know how old it was then. Not too old, I don't think. I just remembered the book
11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass, which might be what I was thinking of, but I could have sworn there was some sort of fairy tale element to it.

Or Between the Lines if this was a recent book. You may also want to check out the discussion of book characters coming alive: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

That's the one I was going to suggest as well. It has some sequels you might have read as well.

Jaina Rose (ireadtilldawn) | 52 comments Thanks! I think it's actuallyThe Inside Story from the Sisters Grimm series after all, but I'm still not 100% about that. Ah, the pains of having read so many books . . . But not really!

Anyway, some of those books look REALLY good, even if they weren't what I was looking for, so thanks for the suggestions!
