And his apartment look like this:

You know full well why, Kaijian thought to himself. He didn't want to admit it. He had always run from these thoughts. It hurt his pride to admit it, but he knew why he was holding back. It always links back to his parents. Despite they were gone physically when they first died, their ghosts had stayed behind. As Kaijian laid in bed, sick, weak, and bedridden, he thought that he wasn't alone. He frowned, bitter emotions welling up. I convinced myself too well. He convinced himself to think that they never died and were simply sleeping. What a fool I was. And still am.
With a soft groan, he got to his feet and took off his jacket, pulling his tie loose. Slowly, he changed out of his clothes into his sleeping wear. Setting the cross onto his bedside table, he crawled under the covers, looking at it. He didn't want to admit it, but he was afraid. Afraid of being alone. Leaving what is familiar and alone in the unknown. So, I'll try to arrange a compromise. I'll work for him when The Saint is in England and when I'm ready, I'll go with him full time. As he concluded this thought, Kaijian let his heavy eyelids close and he fell asleep.

((Perhaps Kitara could visit?))
*END OF SCENE*

Please be home, she pleaded. And please forgive me.
She knocked on the door and waited.

It was that bloody Rhett, she cursed.
"Lie down," she told him. "I will bring you some water and then some tea. In order to nurse hangover, you needs lots and lots of fluids. Although you really should have at fluids last night. Did you drink two tall glasses of water before falling asleep?" she rattled on as she searched for his kettle in the kitchen.

She placed the basin on a chair that she pulled up directly to his bedside and then she began to unbutton his suit jacket and vest, loosen his tie and removed his shoes. "Lie down," she told him. "Try and get some more rest. If you feel like you are going to be sick, use this basin," she told him, pointing to it, hoping her instructions would register.

((I hope I'm doing all right. Along with never drinking, I haven't been hungover...))

"Whoa there," Kitara chuckled. "You cannot go anywhere in this state. Do you want the people you work with to think that you're unprofessional?" she queried. "You need to keep your respectable reputation," she told him. "Lie down, Kaijian. I swear I will tackle you if I have to," she warned.

Kaijian looked up at her, then nodded. "Okay," he said, letting go of his shirt. He looked even younger than his years and with his jacket off, his frame seemed even smaller.

Kitara smiled, knowing she had won. She turned away when he began removing the rest of his clothing, slipping into his nightclothes. She pulled his curtains closed and when he lay down, she pulled his covers over him. "Close your eyes," she told him gently.

((Awwwwwwwwwwww!!!))

"Okay. I promise, Kitara, to not freak out," he said solemnly, though it added more to his child-like appearance than anything else.

Kitara gave him another kiss, this time on his cheek. She ran her delicate fingers through his hair, combing it away from his sweaty forehead. She stood up after a bit and went into the kitchen to pour him a glass of now tepid water. She brought the glass to Kaijian and said, "Drink this. All of it." When he finished, she poured him a second glass. "One more," she said.

Kaijian almost pouted, but then he listened to what she said. After all, she is a friend, he thought in a fog. He drank down the glass.

((Yes, it would be hilarious! Now he has one on his cheek too LOL))

The pulsing he felt in his brain subsided to a dull throb. His eyes grew heavy and his breaths grew deeper. Before he closed his eyes, he whispered, "Thank you."

Dear Kaijian,
If your head is still hurting, drink two more big glasses of water. Then make sure to eat the food I put in your refrigerator. The grease will do wonders for your upset stomach. Try to go back to sleep afterwards. I will call on you in two days if I don't hear from you.
Love,
Kitara
P.S. The lipstick on your face is mine.
She placed the note on his dresser, looked at him one last time to make sure his breathing was steady and let herself out.
((Haha aww so true, poor Kaijian! Please oh please write his reaction soon!))

The next time he opened his eyes, the room was dark with the first light of the next day coming in. Surprised and confused, Kaijian jumped out of from underneath his covers and stumbled into the bathroom. Turning on the faucet, he was just about to splash his face with water when he saw in the mirror two lipstick marks. His eyes widened. What the-? What did I do?
He vaguely remembered drinking with Rhett and the crew. He looked down and saw he was in his bedclothes. Frowning, he didn't remember going home nor changing his clothes. Then, his thoughts drifted back to the lipstick marks on his face. What the devil?! Kaijian was blushing furiously and he hurriedly changed into his normal clothes, all the while spotting a feminine touch in the room.
Silently, he prayed that it was all a dream. He didn't know if he kissed a girl, slept with her, forgot her, where he met her, and... He spotted in the corner of his eye a note sitting next to his bed. Reading it, he collapsed on his bed in relief. Thank goodness gracious, he thought, running a hand through his hair.

Mentally going over a checklist, Kaijian filled up a glass of water and heated up the food Kitara had brought. He blushed again, hoping he wasn't an angry drunk when Kitara visited. As he sat down at the table by himself to eat, he reasoned he wouldn't have kiss marks if he was angry.

After he finished his meal, he filled up another glass of water and drained it. Shaking his head, he felt at last the fog in his mind clear. Going out the door, he grabbed his hat, and then he was gone.

Half past midnight.
***END OF SCENE***

Dear Kaijian,
I wanted to know if you would be interested in attending a goodbye picnic tomorrow that my beau is throwing for his family and friends. I have told him all about my little brother and he wants to meet you.
Please say that you'll come! It would not be the same without you. I promise that you will have a good time.
Love,
Kitara
She enclosed Geoff's address and the time of the event and two small kisses in lipstick next to his name.
***END OF SCENE***

Dear Kaijian,
I can't tell you how happily surprised I was to find a letter from you waiting for me here in Boston. And your drawing is absolutely fantastic! I love cats. My brother calls me Kitty so in a way they remind me of myself.
America--at least Boston--has changed so much since I was last here. The city is so modern and new. It's very grungy though. But not in the same way as London.
I really miss you too! The airship was fantastic! So free and liberating! I spent a lot of time up on the mast with my eyes closed, my arms held out and my hair loosely blowing in the wind. I wish I could fly for real! I did think of you a lot while on that ship because it seemed like something you would really enjoy.
Thank you for telling me how you have been doing. Don't feel alone. Know that I am always with you in spirit and don't hesitate to ask me for advice if you need it. Give your new coworkers time. And be good. Don't do anything I wouldn't do hahaha!
Please continue to write to me and I will do the same! I have said hello to Emma for you, she was very pleased. Her favorite animal is the dove.
I miss you!
Love,
Kitara
P.S. I have enclosed a package of salt water taffy. It's an American candy. I hope you like it. Hugs and Kisses!!!
***END OF SCENE***

The same place as your initiation. Tonight at 11pm.
***END OF SCENE***

Dearest Kaijian,
How your letter made me laugh! I wish I could have been there to see your expression as you ate the salt water taffy. Every time I pass the glass container in my father's store with them now, I think of you! My parents' customers think that I am insane because I laugh to myself like a prize idiot!
I am glad to hear that you are doing well! But Kaijain... you shouldn't talk about me to your coworkers. Ever. Please. I know you did not do it on purpose but... please don't. Okay, sweetheart?
As for the airship, we will fly in one together one day! That is a promise!
I really miss you a lot and I think of you often. I hope that you will still come to me with your problems whenever you need a friend or a big sister.
Your drawing of the dove is beautiful--Emma loved it. Unfortunately she can't read or write but I can read your letters to her and write hers for you if you wish to hear from her.
Be good and write again soon! TONS of hugs and kisses!!!
Love,
Kitara
***END OF SCENE***

Show starts at eight. Your ticket is enclosed. See you tonight.
There was a small silver cross in the envelope.
***END OF SCENE***

Dearest Kaijian,
Please do not worry anymore about it. Mistakes happen and you did not know there would be any harm in doing so. I still love you regardless--yes, I do.
My father's store is a general store. He sells almost everything under the sun here! I have included some small American flags for you so that you can see what it looks like.
I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy. It grieves me to hear that. Should you choose to join full time, please do it because it will be what you want and not what your boss wants. In the end, the only thing that matters is your happiness. I am sure that he did not mention that you would have to cut all of your outside ties as well--not just the city of London. That would include me. I admit that for selfish reasons alone, I would urge you not to--at least not yet. However, I am more concerned about your happiness. Just... know that this will most likely be a requirement. I wish we could see each other at least one last time before you disappear for a permanent goodbye.
I do hope you don't think that I am trying to guilt trip you. I just wanted you to know that I do understand if I never hear from you again. I do love you, little brother. I also know that I want your happiness above all else.
The drawing of the Chinese dragon is beautiful and I will treasure it always. It kind of looks like my arm tattoos. Don't worry about Emma. She will understand.
I do hope to hear from you again....
Until next time, with many hugs and kisses,
Kitara
