Vidya (vidyasamson) | 82 comments Can anyone recommend any books where the heroine is supposedly an ordinary human being and then it’s found that she’s the key to something big? She is the key to some big battle between good and evil [sort of like Luce in the Fallen series]

Or else she really belongs to another world, like some fantasy land and she must go there because she is of some vital importance to some battle taking place there or is the key to saving the land or something?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Lisa (lisamessegee) | 120 comments In the Guardians of Ascension series all of the heroines have a role to play--together--in saving their world. In the first book, the heroine doesn't know who or what she is.

Boys that Bite is the first book in a YA series that has something of this. There are, I THINK only 5 books out right now. Not sure if that's all there will be, but hey, at least there are 5. They are also somewhat humourous. Not lolfofl type funny, but they do have some humour in them.

Jodi McIsaac (jodimcisaac) Through the Door by me. :) I'm not self-promoting, I'm just answering the question! My female protagonist fits that description perfectly. Also, as someone else suggested, Fever by KMM.
