Nick I should have said don't go for the audio version as there are pictures, emails and news articles included in the book and after I finished I found out there's an app to go with the book I haven't downloaded that yet but I wish I knew at the start not the end of the book although maybe they tell you at the end because of spoilers
Please post links to the books. It would be greatly appreciated! Now I have to go find this Dean Koontz book you speak of.......

I have been really need to pick this up
I'm halfway through J and still don't know if I really like it. It has strong 1984 vibes, but no real story yet.

If you haven't read this yet, you're in for a treat. I'm with Nick on this one. I think The Long Walk is an under-the-radar gem by King.

You might also read Misery which is a horrific story but has a great set of writing lessons in it... including the saving power of writing.
just finished the kind worth killing by Peter Swanson 4★ from me, next up is my signed copy of Soil straight from the author Colin F Barnes
Kelle wrote: "I just started Mr. Mercedes by SK. I'm just a few pages in but I'm enjoying it. I love that Det. Hodges' reaction to the taunting letter was probably the exact opposite of what the killer wanted."Turns out I was wrong. That was the desired reaction.
Just finished the Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands. Was thinking about dropping in something else quickly afterwards, but that was before I had read the ending! So, now it's straight on to Wizard & Glass.

I thought the Gunslinger was fantastic when some recommend skipping it and I enjoyed Drawing of the Three but probably least of the first 3 books and it seems a favorite of many. So maybe I've just got weird taste? lol

Finished Desolation
by Kristopher Rufty. It doesn't break any new ground, but it is a decent slasher tale. You can read my review, if you're interested @

I'm reading Brandon Sanderson's Words of Radiance. If you enjoy epic fantasy you should definitely look into the Stormlight Archive. I have Salem's Lot next in my queue.
Dylan wrote: "I'm reading Brandon Sanderson's Words of Radiance. If you enjoy epic fantasy you should definitely look into the Stormlight Archive. I have Salem's Lot next in my queue."I attended a panel that he participated in at ComicCon and then spoke to him afterwards. He was a really likable guy, but I haven't gotten around to reading anything of his yet. Do you think this is a good place to start?

These have been the first books I have read by him, so I can't say it is the best place to start for Sanderson but I can say that the two books in this series so far are very good. Mistborn is another series by him that has received very good reviews. I bought The Way of Kings because it has a very high rating on Goodreads (4.62 with over 100,000 ratings) and was coming up in my recommendations. If you like fantasy then I really think you should give him a try. Amazing world building, characters, and story telling.

It's not one of my favorite genres but I love anything Stephen King. I bow to the master Stephen King.

The books are long but I've been going through them at a pretty quick pace (for me) because they're so engrossing.

I got to a little over 100 pages in The Name of the Wind but stopped because I just couldn't get into it for some reason. I am going to have to try again soon.
I'm reading Mr. Mercedes, a book on my shelves since a lot of time. I have to say that King is always a great author, and I like this new series.
