That's cool! I'm obsessed with all things gangsters/mafia/organized crime. This book has been on my list forever. Excited to finally get to it!

I mostly understand the British use of words but as they say we are two countries separated by a common language. A car's trunk is the boot and the windshield is the windscreen. I'm sure there are others that come up in the book.

Lorna Woolverton | 1 comments I just finished Fairy Tales and am now re reading The Gunslinger

message 9571: by Wise Cat (new)

Wise Cat (wisecat) The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. Very different from the screen versions which play up the horror. Both Dracula and Frankenstein were also different from the movie versions.

Anyway it’s a classic and I’m enjoying it as been wanting to read it forever it seems.😀

Also enjoying Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen McManus, a YA mystery.

and god damn!!! That stand off between Henry’s crew against Richie’s was fabulous!!! King writes kids in ANY time period perfectly! I finished that segment and said, that’s it for tonight. Gonna savour it until tomorrow! F$&k King rules!

Caitlin Ball (httpwwwcaitlinballorg) | 41 comments I'm to Danse Macabre, it's full of so much useful information, including a lot of book recommendations. I've had to keep my notes open while reading. It seems like ever other page mentions another book or movie or audio drama. One of my favorite things to find in books are more books to read in the future.
^.^ It's super awesome. ^.^

Excellent!

I'm reading Andy Weir's Artemis, and listening to Bernard Cornwell's The Last Kingdom since I loved the Netflix series so much.
