It's a straight up obsession for sure. I've read many other books on the subject. My thirst for that particular knowledge just cannot be quenched!

If you are ever looking for a deep dive series, I cannot recommend strongly enough Colleen McCullough's Masters of Rome series. The first is The First Man in Rome. I had no idea that the mafia as we know it today was started in ancient Rome, and has changed very little as far as the bare bones. That series shows you the structure from the bottom up, and inside out.
In these days I'm reading Marvel Comics: The Untold Story. Interesting, for the story about Marvel company, the people involved in the world of comics and so much comics here listed I didn't know they existed.

I've read Omerta, The Last Don, and The Fortunate Pilgrim which is one of my favorite books of all time! Have you read anything by Lorenzo Carcaterra? He has one called Gangster that's really good! I was big into the fiction Mafia type books for awhile then I started to get really into the nonfiction ones. I've read way more nonfiction on the subject. I'm always looking for similarities/differences in the different accounts in different books. I really just can't get enough! I'll definitely look into the ones you recommended. Thanks! You're pretty awesome Kandice! Happy reading!

I also love The Fortunate Pilgrim! Puzo had such a beautiful way of making you feel for these guys that did horrible things, by making you see and understand, if not condone, their motivations.

I've seen the film and I really enjoyed it. I need to read the book at some point.

Yeah, it was decent!
Watership Down. A book I've always wanted to read when I was younger but never got round to it. Better late than never...
Steve wrote: "Watership Down. A book I've always wanted to read when I was younger but never got round to it. Better late than never..."One of my very, very favorites! If you have Netflix, they did a fantastic adaptation a few years ago that is completely worth the time once you've finished.
Here's the link to my review for Underboss: Sammy the Bull Gravano's Story of Life in the Mafia by Peter Maas

Really enjoying it so far! It's already pretty intense!
reading "And The Devil Cried" by Kris Trianaif you've read any of his other stuff... this is possibly his most fucked up book lol
He's really a master at putting you in the driver's seat with absolutely despicable protagonists
Imagine Billy Summers if Billy was an absolutely horrible person

Nice! Did you like it? I'm waiting on a signed copy of The Throat from eBay to complete my trilogy. I've not read any of them.
