It is actually pretty good, so far. Really intriguing. This is the second work of Taylor Jenkins Reid's I have read, and I really like her approachable style.

Looking for a new read! :)
I just finished Strangers by Dean Koontz for the second time. First time was in Norwegian (some 20 years ago), this time in the original language. In the book I met both a priest with the name Callahan and a 1958 Plymouth Fury. And in the (later written) afterword I came across the word "pennywise".
Humour me. :-p

Derrick wrote: "Here's a link to my spoiler free review of Floating Dragon by Peter Straub https://www.goodreads.com/review/show..."I read Floating Dragon many years ago now, and remember thinking it a fantastic horror novel. But I do agree, Peter Straub's books can be something of a slow build, but they are worth it. I strongly recommend Ghost Story, also written by Straub.

Ghost Story has been in my tbr pile for a while now. About a month or two ago, I was finally able to add the paperback to my shelf (shout out to the thrift store!) I look forward to reading that one. Mr. X is the only other Peter Straub book I've read. Have you read that one?
I'm trying to force myself to finish Sunshine. I don't really care for it, but I don't really dislike it either, so don't think it's fair to DNF it.
My review of Billy Silver by Daniel Volpehttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Now reading Body Art by Kristopher Triana
I finished The Slob. I liked his book "YELLOW" more, but I'm a fan of Aron Beauregard... I feel like I can pick up any of his books and have a good gross timeI also recently finished Under the Dome. I thought it was pretty good the whole way through but never got great.
Currently reading Mexican Gothic

I was underwhelmed by Mexican Gothic and felt it more keenly because that gorgeous cover promised such great thing!
Can't wait to hear what you think of it.

F.C. wrote: "Derrick wrote: "F.C. wrote: "Derrick wrote: "Here's a link to my spoiler free review of Floating Dragon by Peter Straub https://www.goodreads.com/review/show......"I'd say it stacks up pretty good compared to the one other book I've read by him. It was also dark and twisted but that's probably the norm for Straub. I enjoyed it.
