What Are You Reading Now? Pt 2.

The 1978 version with Donald Sutherland scared the hell out of me when I was younger, such a creepy movie.

Yes, and I agree that the 1978 version was the best. That ending was just...genius!

I have read it and it was great. Also, I have the audio CDs of the book which makes feel like I'm rereading it again

I'm now reading Alien Invasions - The History of Aliens in Pop Culture.

My review of Alien Invasions! The History of Aliens in Pop Culture
On the look for a new read.

Just finished reading Starve Acre by Andrew Michael Hurley. A bit like his debut The Lonely, creepy and well written with a mostly melancholy menace rather than full on horror.
Recommended for a short read.

If you're looking for another read The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis is excellent. Nowhere near as slow-burn as the film.

Hopefully you get it sooner!

I really hope so. I think all future pre-orders should probably come from Amazon....

I love Coraline so much. I love how the straight-forward almost adjective-less narrative style creates a sense that Coraline really is on her own. I agree with your parallel of Alice in Wonderland. I hadn't thought of that, but you're right.
I'm glad you enjoyed the book, too.

OK, we'll let it go this time, but don't do it again! (I'm just playin.)"
I'll make sure I let everyone know straight away in future! haha
Reading The Terror by Dan Simmons at the moment. I set myself the challenge of reading it before it airs on the BBC on 3rd of March. Then I realised it's over 900 pages long.... and I'm a slow reader. This is quite an epic challenge for me!!

First time read!"
I was happily surprised at how well that book held up the last time I read it. Becky is a bad ass!
