What Are You Reading Now? Pt 2.
I loved both The Dead Zone and Haven based on The Dead Zone and The Colorado Kid. With a series you don't have to rush, and you can stretch it past the confines of the book pages.

I remembered from the thousand or so times you've mentioned it... I'm not judging though. We all have our King character crushes. Mine's Holly.

The Dead Town Dean Koontz's Frankenstein #5I am on the last book of this series.
This is a great series.
Derrick wrote: "Finished NOS4A2. Loved it! Next I'm doing a reread of The Shining."I loved NOS4A2 too, and you can't go wrong with The Shining. Ever.

I loved all the little references to the King universe in NOS4A2 too....

Yes I've also read The Fireman which I thought was really good! What about you?

I've read most of his releases except his current one.
I'm trying to take my time with my reread of The Shining so I also started reading The End of the Ocean by Maja Lunde
Well my sad little King collection has pretty much doubled! I was gifted my ex-wife's mom's collection. There's a bunch in there that I haven't previously read.
Derrick wrote: "Well my sad little King collection has pretty much doubled! I was gifted my ex-wife's mom's collection. There's a bunch in there that I haven't previously read."Congrats! It's lovely to read a book you haven't, almost certain you will like, if not love, it!

Thank you! I'm super excited!
Approaching the end of my reread of The Shining. It's every bit as amazing as the first time I read it. Once I'm finished I'm going to read The Talisman. Nick, Kandice what are your options of The Talisman? I've not read it before.

I'm not sure about Straub's contributions. It's pretty seamless.

Hey Derrick, I also enjoyed The Talisman, but I liked the sequel, Black House, even more. In my opinion it has a much stronger DT feel.

Hello, just joined the group. Not sure how all this works but thought I would share that I'm currently reading Strange Weather by Joe Hill. Only just started and hoping I can read it before it's due back at the library. So far enjoying the warm and nostalgic vibe.

Steven wrote: "I just read The Exorcist. It was excellent."I read that book long before I was old enough to do so. I thought that the reason he referred to the streets as letters was to protect the place it really happened! I had never seen streets names after letters. It made it very, very real to me at the time.

Thanks.

King's books, and Joe Hill's books, work better as a mini-series.
