King's books, and Joe Hill's books, work better as a mini-series.

Kandice | 4387 comments I loved both The Dead Zone and Haven based on The Dead Zone and The Colorado Kid. With a series you don't have to rush, and you can stretch it past the confines of the book pages.

I agree, UtD completely lost itself after season one.

I love it! I know not everyone does, but it's so sincerely a quest, and King writes so well from the POV of a child. I'm not sure about Straub's contributions. It's pretty seamless.

I gave it five stars, didn't write a detailed review, but I remember liking it a lot.

Charles | 96 comments Hey Derrick, I also enjoyed The Talisman, but I liked the sequel, Black House, even more. In my opinion it has a much stronger DT feel.

I loved that book, if you can really say that about something that left you breathless and on the verge of sobs at times, and wait until you meet Honeysuckle!

I read that book long before I was old enough to do so. I thought that the reason he referred to the streets as letters was to protect the place it really happened! I had never seen streets names after letters. It made it very, very real to me at the time.

Letters for street names is fairly common in smaller towns or rural areas. My grandpa used to live on B 1/2 road lol
