I'm reading it with an open mind, I knew it was going to be about him going into it. I do wish she would write another prequel on other aspects of the world, though.

I also knew it was about him, but I liked the parts that included the Hunger Games so much more than the parts that are just about him.

Overall, I didn't mind the story about him but I thought the plot was pretty over bloated. His part could have easily been told in a novella. Maybe doing a novella based book with a few different stories of different aspects of the Hunger Games would have been better. I for one would love to know the history of Panem and how it came to be. We got hint of that in the original books and also in this one but no clear explanation.

Sorry, no third season: https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/nos4...

I liked the show well enough even though I think there were some issues with it. Had it came back, I would have still watched it.

message 8150: by Kandice (new)

Kandice | 4387 comments I think they tied up NOS4A2 well enough with the two seasons. I didn't enjoy it as much as the book, but it wasn't as bad as Under the Dome. Even UtD was okay the first season. Once that second season started... it went way downhill. The butterfly gimmick reminds me of Sleeping Beauties.
