I like it but I don't know if I could read all of them. I found this one at a little library so if I came across more in the series, I'd pick them up.

Kandice | 4387 comments I loved Anne Rice's series when they came out, but I must admit to getting over them after about the fifth installment. Gothic is terrific when you are in the right frame of mind, but I don't know that I have gotten in that particular frame of mind since. I may need to revisit.

I've not read anything by Anne Rice. I want to read The Witching Hour

I liked the Mayfair Witch saga as much as the Vampire saga! They intersect pretty often. Maybe even more so than King's macroverse.

Michele Reading Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind with my mom -- we read a bit then do a "book chat". Also reading The Gameshouse, which WOW.

Michele Oh, I also recently finished rereading Gone with the Wind. Problematic, as we all know, but fascinating to re-read right now with all the discussion about Civil War monuments and the heightened awareness of systemic racism. This time through I also picked up on a range of other more subtle things as well. Very interesting.

The only other book I have read by her is Angel Time, another little library find, but I didn't care much for it.

Yeah, I have a feeling I would go the same way if I were to try reading the entire series.

Now I’m starting The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern. I enjoyed their other book (The Night Circus) quite a lot even though it was not my usual genre at all, so I bought this one on sight!

Andrew✌️ (andrew619) | 335 comments Today I started Lo sguardo lento delle cose mute, a short novel "The Kingkiller Chronicle" series, focused on the character of Auri. I don't think it will add useful info about the main plot, but its a good chance to know more about an intriguing character.

Jennifer Freitag (truirishredhead) They Came with the Rain by Christopher Coleman. Only about 12% in but loving the creep factor. Lots is WTF is going on!?! at the end of each chapter

Interesting (not in a good way) that Goodreads' search function turns up zilch in response to the title "Sundown Motel" (or Hotel). Unless one types it in as "Sun Down Motel" (with "sun" and "down" as separate words), GR thinks there's no such book.

Jerry Balzano | 125 comments I'm currently reading The Teleportation Accident and Small Game Hunting at the Local Coward Gun Club. And since I enjoyed it so much the first time I read it, I've finally decided to undertake a reread of SK's Under the Dome.

Michele Recently finished The Bad Seed (eek!) and re-reads of Stories of Your Life and Others and Hotel Du Lac. Currently working on Faith Versus Fact: Why Science and Religion are Incompatible along with Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind (reading and discussing with my mom, which is fun).

Derrick | 974 comments My supervisor gave me a $25 gift card to Barnes & Noble as a reward for quitting smoking. I got Insomnia because one can't go to the bookstore and not get a Stephen King book. I also got a nonfiction book about a mafia boss who pretended to be crazy for like 30 years just to avoid being caught by law enforcement.
