The Woman in White by Wilkie CollinsYou should definitely read it if you are either into or want to get into Victorian Literature or to dive deep into the origins and foundation of mysteries/thrillers as we know them today. It is thus far fascinating. The epistolary narrative is held magnificently as well. Cheers!
I've been reading "The Bonfire of the Vanities" for a few weeks, because I actually really love the style it's written in. So I kind of don't want it to end. Also, every character is extremely flawed, and that's my cup of tea.
I’m a 1/4 of the way into The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin. It’s the last of The Passage series and it’s actually pretty amazing. Probably not the best book series to read during a pandemic mind you but, I started into it pre-Covid-19.

Charles wrote: "Fabulous book Derrick!"I'm enjoying so far. I was nervous about the weird language but it's really not that bad. I'm able to glean most of it from the context.
Derrick, are you reading the UK or US version. The final chapter (chapter 21) is removed in the US version.

Just finished my Hugo reading: 6 novels and numerous novelas, novelettes, short stories, & related works. This year was not easy at all. Here are my choices and reasoning:http://blog.worldoftarn.com/2020/07/m...
Too many good books! :-)

Good! I think the original UK version leaves you with a very different, and far superior, message!

One thing I am noticing with The City of Mirrors is the amount of character building for Tim Fanning ‘Zero’. This book more so than the previous two books reminds me more of King’s story telling. I’ve actually forgotten I’m reading a Passage trilogy book at this point and don’t mean that in a bad way.
Im a third of the way through The woods are dark br Richard Laymon the edited one. Im reading his books in the order they were published I plan on reading the unedited when I get to that date should be one of the last
Finished A Clockwork Orange. I enjoyed it. Solid read if you're able to stick with it long enough to get past the language. I want something else that's fairly short so today I started Joyland by King.

It's a hard watch because the violence is so blase and in your face, but it's incredibly well made and acted.

In fact when they were filming the movie if there was questions about the story or what have you they would refer to the book instead of the script.
I've watched the movie and yes, the violence is pretty brutal, not something I could watch again. The Flight Attendant
Bad Samaritan (Sister Agatha #6)by Aimée Thurlo, David Thurlo
The last Sister Agatha story
It is a wonderful series

This will be my first time reading it. Also it will officially be the longest book I've ever read!

Thanks! I'm loving it so far.
I'm currently reading Traitor's Blade, and when I finish that I'm going to start The Living Dead by George A. Romero. Been waiting for this one for a long time.
