This will be the second Joe Hill book I've read. First one was The Fireman which I absolutely loved!

I just finished a re-read of Gibbon's Decline and Fall (rather frighteningly topical, despite being written in 1996 or so, but so beautifully hopeful at the end -- I really needed it right now). Now reading The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir (also frightening lol)

I am reading "The taking" by Dean Koontz. It reminds me a lot of his book "77 Shadow street".
I'm close to finishing. I've been a little slow on reading this book because I've been tied up with other things. But also because I'm finding the book a little boring. When I'm finished I'll give a review.

To be honest, I'm not sure I fully understand everything going on. However, this was recommended to me from someone's opinion I fully trust, and he keeps telling me to just keep at it, and it will all make sense. I definitely like it, and Malerman's writing.

To be honest, Bird Box was kind of this way, with not knowing what all was going on in the beginning. You just had to keep reading. Definitely keeps me intrigued.
