Derrick wrote: "The book I ordered from Barnes & Noble, NOS4A2, arrived today!"That's a good one. There's also a graphic novel, WELCOME TO CHRISTMASLAND that gives some more.

This will be the second Joe Hill book I've read. First one was The Fireman which I absolutely loved!
Derrick wrote: "The book I ordered from Barnes & Noble, NOS4A2, arrived today!"I'm glad you liked The Fireman, am sure you'll like NOS4A2 and can't recommend Horns strongly enough.

Nice! I'm just starting the If It Bleeds story (yay Holly!)
Michele wrote: "Derrick wrote: "If it Bleeds"Derrick, what did you think? I just read that a couple of weeks ago."
I'm not done with it yet. Only about half way through.
I just finished a re-read of Gibbon's Decline and Fall (rather frighteningly topical, despite being written in 1996 or so, but so beautifully hopeful at the end -- I really needed it right now). Now reading The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir (also frightening lol)
I am reading "The taking" by Dean Koontz. It reminds me a lot of his book "77 Shadow street". I'm close to finishing. I've been a little slow on reading this book because I've been tied up with other things. But also because I'm finding the book a little boring. When I'm finished I'll give a review.
Just finished The Twelve by Cronin and started the final book in the Passage series, City of Mirrors.
Erin wrote: "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince"That's my favorite I think of all the HP books :) I wrote a fanfic that is the origin story of that annotated Potions textbook lol

Haha, that's cool. I have a friend that is really into fan fiction.
Michele wrote: "Erin, tell your friend to check out Archive of Our Own, if they don't already know about it."She has mentioned AO3 before and I know she does (or use to) go on fanfiction.net
Kandice wrote: "Kathryn wrote: "Inspection by Josh Malerman"I just bought that. Is it good?"
To be honest, I'm not sure I fully understand everything going on. However, this was recommended to me from someone's opinion I fully trust, and he keeps telling me to just keep at it, and it will all make sense. I definitely like it, and Malerman's writing.
Kandice wrote: "Thanks! I also like Malerman's style."To be honest, Bird Box was kind of this way, with not knowing what all was going on in the beginning. You just had to keep reading. Definitely keeps me intrigued.
Starting book 7 of the Dark Tower series. The beginning of the end. Can't wait to find out how it'll all end!
Kathryn wrote: "Derrick, really enjoyed The Dark Tower! Hope you do, too."Thanks! I'm sure I'll be reading it again in some other when and where....
