A classic, I first read that in high school.
Have you ever wondered why there are so few black characters in American Westerns when there were actually quite a large number of black cowboys? I put together a list here and added the books of the Gunslinger where Susannah Dean figures most prominently:https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
I know so many of you have diverse reading experience. If you can add more books to the list, I would be much obliged. I tried in the Western & Romance group, but it's kinda dead.
Note: In case you are wondering... I haven't finished the DT series yet, which is the reason I haven't added the last two books. ;-)
Thanks for your help!
Just started Stephen Fry Mythos only 2 chapters in and dam they're is a lot to take in but I belive I have the main family tree and scandal down so far lol
'Salem's Lot is really good so far. Other than an obscure reference here and there you'd never know it's a 45 year old book....

I bought this, I hope it's good.
Pete wrote: "Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames"This one is really great, had a lot of fun reading it. The follow-up is also quite good, although not as good as "Kings of the Wyld".
I just started ready "Cruelty" by Edward Lorn and so far I can say that he has a very twisted mind. In a good way.
Finished Salem's Lot. I thought it was really good. Next I'm taking a short break from Stephen King. I don't know what exactly I'm going to read next....

Hans, have you listened to the song playlist that goes along with books? My son found it on Spotify, I was pleasantly surprised!
I just finished Black House, and I enjoyed it more than The Talisman( both very good though). Now I'm reading The Indifferent Stars Above: The Harrowing Saga of The Donner Party

I've owned it for a while, but haven't read it yet.

Yes I've decided on either Panic or Uglies

Kandice, glad to hear that! I haven't seen the movie, but I will watch it after I finish the book. :)
Erin wrote: "Derrick wrote: "The Troop by Nick Cutter"Good choice!"
Thanks Erin! I've never read anything by Nick Cutter before. I'm excited to get started.

I'll be sure to let the group know what I thought of it.

Erin, how could you not warn me about how disgusting The Troop is?! Nevertheless, I'm enjoying it. About 1/3 the way through now....
Kathryn wrote: "The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger"I loved this one so much. I took a break from my Hugo reading to submit to John Bolton's horror. My review is here:

Now back to the wonder of Alix E Harrow's 10000 Doors of January. I still have 3 more novels to go by July 15.

I'll have to read more books by him for sure.

That's pretty much what I've concluded just from watching/listening to him over the past week or so. Ugh. The WaPo interviewer asked him why, if things were so awful, he didn't testify before the House -- and he proceeded to blame it all on the Democrats. Very twisted logic.
I just started Let's Go Play at the Adams'. It feels as if everyone else in this group has read it and I am behind. It's, so far, a better snapshot of life in the 50s than a picture of violence, but I'm not very far yet.
I'm reading The Tower of the Swallow. When I'll finish this one, I'll only have one book left. Not every book is so good and going forward with the series, the story is too long.

I'd suggest The Deep
I'm reading The Last Aerie by Brian Lumley, it's number 2 in the Vampire World and number 7 in the Necroscope series
