If it bleeds.... the first novella - Mr Harriman’s phone. As always with Stephen King - everything starts good and nice, until...
I'm reading too much parallely right now. Just finished Full Dark, No Stars and am still craving some Stephen King, but I also started The Girl And The Stars by Mark Lawrence and Black Tie Required by Craig Schaefer. Decided to take on the Night Shift for my King cravings because I can read one short story and then continue with something else.

A Time to Scatter Stones(Matthew Scudder #17.5)
by Lawrence Block (Goodreads Author)
I love the Matthew Scudder story. I am only half way but this book will get five stars
Pavel wrote: "I’m currently reading “Four past midnight” by Stephen King."I love Four Past Midnight. The Langoliers is one of my favorite stories ever.
I’ve just finished Revival and now I’m going to start Needful Things. It’s my 2nd attempt at getting through the whole book.

Just finished If It Bleeds. My four star review is up. Currently reading the graphic novel THE SANDMAN - PRELUDES AND NOCTURNES. by Neil Gaiman. Terrifying!
I wouldn't say it was absolutely necessary to read Salem's Lot first, however I'm the type of person that loves to know a characters full story and motivations, so for me I would highly recommend reading it first.

Well damn I've already started Wolves of the Calla but a slight change of plans could be in order....
It's not incredibly important...but the character Father Callahan gets introduced and his whole backstory is fleshed out in Salems Lot. I don't remember how much Wolves gives you a rundown of his past but I know they go into events that take place after Salems Lot. Salems Lot is one of Kings best tho, imo. Whether you read it before or after, id definitely recommend doing so.
I'm moving pretty nicely along in Empire of the Summer Moon by SC Gwyne, Its the story of the rise and fall of the Comanches. Its incredibly interesting so far and reads very smoothly. Ive always been interested in the American West tho so unless it sucked I was probably gonna enjoy it.
Derrick wrote: "Quick question: how important is it that I read Salem's Lot before reading Wolves of the Calla?"So one of the key characters in wolves of the calla is also a principal in Salem's Lot. But unlike other revised characters, his backstory isn't as vital to Wolves. Also, and I'm not sure how many others feel this way, but as good as Wolves is. Salem's Lot is a slightly better book (IMHO). But if you have a full head of steam from Wizard and Glass, I'd say dive into Wolves and enjoy. (view spoiler)

Thank you Nick. I was really on the fence about it all day. I think I'll stay the course and finish Wolves of the Calla. Then I'll for sure jump right into Salem's Lot. I don't know how I've not read Salem's Lot yet anyway lol.
Also thanks to everyone else who chimed in on my question today. I truly value all of your opinions.
Anyone else have any issues with thread on mobile all of a sudden? Mine scrolls forever automatically.
Kathryn wrote: "Anyone else have any issues with thread on mobile all of a sudden? Mine scrolls forever automatically."I have noticed that. I just stop it by scrolling to the bottom real quick since that's typically where I'm commenting/replying anyway.

And shelved it under "Educational" for prison break!
Rereading Second Child by John Saul. This was the very first 'adult novel' I ever read at about 13. I went from Babysitters Club to horror without knowing it. The description made me think it was a teen book. We were visiting family at a beach house and there were two giant bookshelves full of books to choose from. I stayed up all night reading. Even though I'm using my Kindle, I can still smell the salt on the pages. It's a lovely trip down memory lane.
