My book club just finished up Horrorstör and while people had mixed reactions, they generally enjoyed it. It was probably my favorite book of last year and I was glad to get a re-read in.
Today I started Misery, a classical by King and a book I had on my tbr list, waiting the right moment (finally, now!).

Just me and my husband and we already had a stockpile of everything since we live in the woods. We’re good. Although we did just have corned beef boiled dinner....

I finished The Crow Girl at 4am omg what a story, I'll never read a crime thriller as good as that and I'll be amazed if it's not the best book I read this year, highly recommend it, just brilliant
I finished Misery a couple of days ago, one of the best books by King I read in the last years. Now I'm reading Last Argument of Kings.
I finished Everything's Eventual. I really enjoyed all the stories. I'm torn on what to read next. I ordered Dark Tower books 5-7 on EBay (I already own 1-4) and they arrived today. Do I start the epic quest? Or do I read 11/22/63 which I scored from the thrift store recently?

Agree completely. The ending surprised me. And DO NOT bother with the movie. What a huge mistake that was.
I'm taking Kandice's advice and reading M is for Magic for almost the same reason she did, because Neil Gaiman's voice and delivery of a story is so soothing in these troubled times, (even when he's reading scary stories, only a few of which are in this book.) I'm about half-way through and enjoying every moment. I don't think it's a new work but one definitely worth reading.

I'm listening to my third Gaiman, read by Gaiman, since all the craziness began. I've read everything by him before, but his voice is just so incredibly soothing.
Have you read Trigger Warning: Short Fictions and Disturbances? Orange in that collection is one of my favorite short stories of all time, and I've read a lot of them.
Erin wrote: "A Thousand Splendid Suns"This is one of the most emotional reads I have ever experienced. I loved it to distraction, and through tears.

I seldom read short stories, but when I finally did make it all the way through a collection of King's in order, I saw what a fun ride it could be. I'll try it. BTW: I'm using your review as a guide the this read and I have to say we're in agreement on most of the stories. But I have a facebook friend who's written a book on Medicine Buddha and this definitely seems like the time to read that. So I'm currently into that too.
Mari wrote: "I’m about halfway through Bag of Bones."How do you like it so far. It's one of my all time favorite King books. Way up on my top ten list.
Derrick wrote: "Erin wrote: "Mudbound"How do you read so many books so fast?"
I'm currently not working due to my state issuing a shutdown so I have a lot of time.
Kandice wrote: "Erin wrote: "A Thousand Splendid Suns"This is one of the most emotional reads I have ever experienced. I loved it to distraction, and through tears."
It was very emotional.
Erin wrote: "Derrick wrote: "Erin wrote: "Mudbound"How do you read so many books so fast?"

Yes but I feel like you read just as many books just as fast even before all the corona stuff happened lol
Not King, but I swear it reeks of his diabolical small towns at times:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Enjoy!
Rhian wrote: "I'm about a third into The Crow Girl by Erik Axl Sund and it's so so good I'll be amazed if it's not in my top 3 at the end of the year"Thanks for the recommendation! It looks interesting! :-)
The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared. I really like it, but as I've mentioned, I am having hard time settling to read with all that's going on. It's taking forever!

I usually read before I go into work and during my lunch break plus I don't have kids so there is more free time there, lol.
Hi guys I'm planning to re-read The Regulators and desperation? Which order would you recommend please? At the moment I'm reading Caught By Harlan Coben because I've enjoyed Safe and The Stranger on Netflix recently

Harlan Coben is a really good writer. But I have another who is just as good or better. I'd compare him to a cross between Coben and Dean Koontz His name is Linwood Barclay. Check him out. Also, although some of his books are called series because they feature a person or setting in common, I think you can probably read them in any order
I cannot get The Crow Girl. Our library has epub, not kindle, so I cannot get it, and as the library is closed right now . . . no hard copy (I do not buy hard copies anymore)
