Nick have you ever read any Elmore Leonard? I'm thinking of reading Rum Punch at some point which means I'll probably have to read The Switch as well.
I just finished The Dead Zone . Now I'm reading Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie & The Devil in The White City by Erik Larson
Here's my review of Joanne Fluke's Coconut Layer Cake Murder.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Agreed.
I'm almost done with Mr. X by Peter Straub. It's been a strange journey to say the least. I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Slightly confusing in the beginning but after the first 30 pages or so, things started to clear up. This was my first Peter Straub book. I'm looking forward to reading more by him.
I finished The Shining, Salem's Lot and Carrie...now to get back into The Institute. After watching Chasing Yesterday, I wonder if S.K. viewed it too.
Finished Mr. X tonight. I enjoyed it. I'll definitely be reading more from Peter Straub! Next I'm going to read Fight Club. I've seen the movie more times than I can count. I've never read anything by Chuck Palahniuk either so I look forward to getting into this one. I know it's rather short so I don't expect to take long reading it.

Charles wrote: "I love Palahniuk, Fight Club is probably his most accessible and a great starting point."I'm ready to see the differences between the book and the movie.

The Institute. Really liking it so far. Has a bit of a Firestarter feel to it."I’ll be starting this book tonight, Jessy
I liked The Institute a lot. Many differing opinions of it but I thought it was a cool story. I always try to go into my reading with a completely blank slate. This way I can let the authors fill it in however they see fit. I'm usually able to thoroughly enjoy pretty much anything I read.
I'm currently reading The Stranger Diaries by Elly Griffiths. it's actually my first book in English hehe.

I want to be ready to enter whatever world the author wants to lead me into.
I'm currently reading The Chill by Scott Carson. I'm only about 60 pages in but I'm loving it so far.

Monica wrote: "Kathryn wrote: "Derrick wrote: "I liked The Institute a lot. Many differing opinions of it but I thought it was a cool story. I’m shocked at the people that actually loved it when I could barely finish!
I've finished A Time of Changes, not a conventional sciFi story and in some parts a little boring. Anyway an interesting story.Today I started Nine Princes in Amber and the beginning is promising.
Well I've finished Fight Club. I enjoyed reading it. Reading the book makes certain parts of the movie more understandable. I found lots of little subtleties that aren't mentioned or explained in the movie. I only wish the book was longer. At just over 200 pages, it almost felt like a tease at least for me. My next read is going to be The Fireman by Joe Hill. I've never read anything by Joe Hill so I'm excited to get into it. Hopefully it arrives at my library tomorrow.

My favorite of his is NOS4A2.

I'm enjoying The Fireman so far. Drama and trauma pretty much right away. Safe to say, I'm hooked already!
I love Fight Club! I also love NOS4A2, haven’t read the Fireman yet! Finally finished 11/22/63, which I loved! Right now I’m reading Revival by Stephen King and also How to Set Fires and Why by Jesse Ball.
Revival, The Fireman, and 11/22 a nice set. I enjoyed them all... I think I gave them all 5 star reviews. Same with Fight Club... some excellent selections. I just jumped ahead to re-read The Wastelands, after reading the Drawing of the Three. I may also do a re-read of Misery to say with the group doing the King reads in order. But I'm not sure I can read two King books at the same time, even though they're both re-reads.
