What Are You Reading Now? Pt 2.
I generally enjoy Dan Simmons’s novels very much. I can only recall one or two that I didn’t. A couple of my favorites are Black Hills and The Fifth Heart.
Halfway through The Darkest Hour by Erin Hunter, #6 in the first sub-series of the Warriors books. And just starting A Discovery of Witches.I recently enjoyed the TV series of the latter on BBCA. They made just 8 episodes, making me want more. And I also had to read the book when I noticed it was based on one (like most TV shows or movies are). Really enjoying it, though after seeing the series it's a bit slow but I have to keep in mind this isn't like TV, LOL.
Reading The Cycle of the Werewolf, and listening to The Woman in the Window. Also reading Guardian of the Light by D. Thrush.

The Terror is one of my favorites.
Ooh, I see Hitchhikers Guide and Frankenstein. Some of my favorites :)I’m currently reading Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill. I like it but not as much as I loved NOS4A2. Recently finished Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman and enjoyed it.
I havent read The Fireman yet. How was it? I read Horns and I enjoyed it. I liked that it was referenced as an Easter egg in the AMC NOS4A2 show.

Anansi Boys is way at the top of my list of favorites. Certainly one of Gaiman's best.
I was thinking that the significance of the Phoenix was that she grew/rose was the fire; thus, the fireman & I shall rise; a Joe Hill homage to the famous quote.... I'm just saying
I had to DNF A Gentleman in Moscow because I just wasn't feeling it. I started Dark Matter by Blake Crouch this morning, and flew through about 25 pages before I knew it.
Heather wrote: "Erin how are you liking the Casual Vacancy? A lot of people say they didn’t like it but I loved it"I didn't care much for it.
A Map of Days

I liked the introduction it's a intimidating book

Yeah I've a feeling it'll be like a David Lynch film in book form
I just started What You Did by Claire McGowan
I'm finishing reading Force of Nature by Jane Harper and then starting The Turn of the Screw by Henry James

Got through some more today, and it's been interesting. Just not quite what I had in mind. It's my first Simmons book, but I'm very interested in reading The Terror and Hyperion as well. Hopefully this one ends strong so I'm not dissuaded from reading those.
