What Are You Reading Now? Pt 2.
Michael wrote: "I am reading three stories at once... I do this a lot actually. Right now, I read the excellent Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse, NOS4A2 by Joe Hill, while listening to the audiobook Name of..."Great analysis Michael, I've been through NOS4A2 twice on audio, a great reading BTW. Trail of Lightning sounds great. I may give it a try. Like you, I always listen to one book while reading another, often there's a third in there too. But sometimes one book of the three takes over and pushes the others aside.

it´s awsome so far.... im trapped :-)
Just started Recursion, by Blake Crouch. So far pretty good. I'm listening to the audiobook. Also about halfway through The Traveling Cat Chronicles after some strong recommendations from some Goodreads friends. But I may set that aside to read the current group read.
The Mask Collectors: A Novel by Ruvanee Pietersz Vilhauer
Gary wrote: "Starting Doctor sleep"I'm halfway through it. Its been only two days, book is very compelling and a worthy sequel to The Shining.

HA! Is that your writer brain at work???
Mmmmmm; zombies versus witches!
Finishing up
... I have no idea what is happening and I love it!! The confusion of not knowing if this is a haunting or they just crazy; reminds me of House of Leaves. You never know what to believe and absolutely everything, is suspect.

:-) Thanks, Alondra, never wrote a book about Zombies. Maybe it's time.

Just finished The Traveling Cat Chronicles... much better and more profound than I could ever have expected. Of course, I had no expectations and didn't know what I was getting into. Here's my short, five-star review.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Yesterday I finished Memories of Ice, another wonderful chapter in the Malazan series.Today I started Skyward, a book I have on my Kindle, but I didn't know much. But, it's Sanderson, so I think it will be a good reading. :)
I'm finally back after a looong lasting reading slump. And I started off with a bang haha. I started reading 3 books at once - Outsider, Under the Dome and Lisey's story.. Currently I am most focusing on Lisey since that story is just pulling me in. I'm about halfway through and things are starting to get very exciting and nerve wrecking :)
Ok I just realized that this discussion was for non-King reads 😅 I'm sorry guys, it has really been a long time away from here for me...

Good to hear from you. I think this is the right place to post about all your new reads. BTW, I loved all three of those books... maybe Lisey's Story the most. Great read. There may be individual threads on each of those. But this is a good start.

No worries, Michele. I think this thread has kind of become the default for the.post about what we are currently reading, King or non-King. :)
It's a weird one. It's like reading about someone that's losing cohesive glue while being drunk. Now there is a missing lady and wow wtf will happen next is the question I have. Did she kill her as the clothes by the tracks or did her boyfriend do IT or is she the same person or not. So many questions that I have to keep reading. This book is like sex. Some good and some bad but in the end doesn't make a difference. Sex is sex regardless if the sex isn't good. I rather have sex so I keep reading this sad and depressing book.
