It’s one of my favorite King books! I’m glad you gave it a re-read.

Thanks, Erin. I think you're right, books do change for the reader in re-reads. Though I never thought of it that way. I always go in trying to verify my previous review... Quite a mistake now that I think about it.

Andrew✌️ (andrew619) | 335 comments Not bad, funny, but after some chapters is different to follow the story. There are too much absurd situations and dialogues.
Today I started Black Science, Vol. 1: How to Fall Forever, a sci fi comic series I discovered in the last months.

Now I'm reading House of Leaves. It's been a little difficult to figure out the writing style at the beginning.

I heard about a sequel, but I didn't think this soon. I'm game!!

HoL is a commitment. Read Wil Wheaton's review and then the reviewer he recommends.

You can read HoL straight through, notes first or main story. There are some pages with just one word or only notes or nothing at all. The author, whomever that is, is detached from reality. Also, the house is an entity all its own.

This was one of my favorite books and still is. That house freaked me out and I don't scare easily.

Good luck.

I'm slowly working my way through as I've only been able to read on my transit ride to work and I was sick a few days. However, I have to go to see if I get picked for jury duty on Thursday. I should get a good bit read that day.

I just started it today, and am only a few pages in. It already has a nice, quick flow to it. Pretty short novel, too.

I believe I've seen a picture of the room you are talking about. Makes your heart break.

Upon the recommendation of a Methodist minister emeritus, I once read the New Testament at the rate of one chapter per day. It was an excellent and enlightening experience.
