I have the entire Dark Tower collection...just haven't been able to get going in them."
Dave there a must, but read some of his older works first. Cujo Pet Semetary The shining. There are links to a lot of his books in the Dark Tower series. It isn't necessary to read the older works first but it makes it more interesting as you will then have a clue of what's going on. It won't hurt the understanding or ruin the story it is just helpful is all.

Erin, I read The Muse by Jessie Burton last year, and it was surprisingly, better than I expected. I haven't read The Miniaturist yet, but I own it, and I've heard some people prefer it over The Muse.

I completely agree. It makes the Stephen Universe, just that. Mostly everything tied together one way or the other. So interesting and always fun to get those easter eggs. :)

I started the first book in November and I wasn't very convinced of it; but I continued 'cause I had them all too. The second one bewitched me and, now, with the fourth I practically dn't sleep anymore. It was a long time since a series took me so bad.

This is my first book by her. So far I think the book is just OK, the writing is good but I don't care much for the characters.

Yep; that's how it was when I initially read it over 20+ years ago. I really hated the first book; but by book 3, I was like an addict of all things Dark Tower.

Yep; it's quite the same. I think I didn't understand and didn't like the first one. But then the second was so good and now the books are just running away. I have nearly finish the 4th.

So glad you ended up liking the series. Woot!
The last book broke my heart....

I didn't really want to know that *sigh*

They are part of the Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare, a prequel to The Mortal Instruments.
I see the book title doesn't show but the whole link does. I don't know how people get that to show up right, and if that's the way we are supposed to post a book we are reading?
Clockwork Angel is what I'm finishing up; Clockwork Prince is the sequel I'll be starting today or tomorrow.

The Long walk is an excellent story. I get exhausted every time I read it.

I have really been enjoying the continuation of The Dark Tower graphic novel series, with The Dark Tower: The Drawing of the Three - The Prisoner and The Dark Tower: The Drawing of the Three - House of Cards. This entire series is fantastic.

It has been a reread for me, as well, since I was a teen. The ending gets interpreted by everyone so differently. I wonder if he ever stopped running.... ???
Centennial by James Michener

I need to decide between Hex - Thomas Olde Heuvelt and Head Full of Ghosts - Paul Tremblay for my next read!

It's an amazing book, written by someone who knew the guy personally.

I Wonder if he died earlier and is a corpse still running. Or, if he died, still running.

It sounds good.

What I think is almost miraculous is that The author worked with Ted Bundy on a suicide prevention hotline and they stayed friends, even when all that killing began, even though he knew that she was a former police officer who wrote police procedural novels. How's that, a murder novelist and a serial killer friends for years. Of course, she didn't know through most of that time that he was the killer. The book was referred to me by a friend in this group after I questioned Brady Heartsfield's psychology in Mr. Mercedes.

That's pretty amazing. I'll definitely check the book out.

This sounds really interesting, and I have the book. Thanks!
