@mrbooks - love that! And I agree. His old stuff is still his greatest. Pet Semetary was my first book of his and I had all the lights on in the house by the time I got done.

I will have to say that this book falls under historical fiction but I’m 20 pages in and I’m feeling like this is really true...Check out Jinnik by Gideon D. Asche

We have those motion sensitive lights in my building but I'm glad I can't see them come on for no reason, LOL.
My sneakers have reflectors (I guess that's the name) on them, and in the dark they look like glowing eyes! I actually got up and threw a blanket over them, ha ha.
American Horror Story starts its new season tonight, and I always record it and watch it much earlier in the evening...The show has given me nightmares but I still watch!
As far as either scary books or scary screen stuff just before going to bed, my imagination is scarier than anything someone can put on the screen! Hence, those "bodachs" in the Koontz books....well I pictured them a certain way. I saw them in the Odd Thomas movie but they weren't as scary as what I imagined. :-)

There's at least a short story there... maybe more.

The Hunger Games is one of my favorite trilogies. I've gone through them all several times. Enjoy.

The Hunger Games is a great series, my favorite in the YA genre.
I’m on to “Lisey’s Story” and finding it a bit confusing. I have the feeling that it’ll become clearer and clearer what’s going on; I had a similar feeling about The Dark Half, and it ended up being one of my favorites.
Just finished American Vampire, Vol. 6 and Mortal Causes this past weekend.I just started Assassin's Quest, which I am really looking forward to, after that heartbreaking ending of the last book..... I cried....
I am also starting Let It Bleed which is #7 in the Inspector Rebus series.
Just checked Dolores Claiborne out from the library

I just finished Oathbringer. Whew! It was long enough to be 3 or 4 books. But it was good.
I’ve just started Interview With the Vampire by Anne Rice.

Nancy wrote: "Boy's Life"One of my favorites!! I honestly didn't think I would like it. I kept wondering how I would relate to some preteen boys??? I did, and I loved it.
If you are not finished yet, I do hope you enjoy it.

Erin wrote: "Added The Things They Carried to my TBR list, sounds really good. .."It is. I love stories about war, whether biographies, history or fiction. I really want to read When we were soldiers, I think it is; but the book that inspired the movie with Mel Gibson.
Oh We Were Soldiers? A great movie and I didn't know it was based on a book. Now reading: Code Talker: A Novel About the Navajo Marines of World War Two

Haven't read that one but I did read, O'Brien's Going After Cacciato. WOW! that was something. It won the National Book Award... a goal that has constantly evaded Mr. King.
I’m reading The Fireman by Joe Hill. It’s my first book by this author and I’m enjoying it so far.
You will love this book also his other books Heart shaped box NO4A2 and Horns oh and 20th century Ghost stories. and his current one out Strange weather.
I think you would enjoy it Nick, we have Hamish, a convicted serial killer and Maggie, an appeal lawyer who gets results, letters are exchanged and Maggie gets drawn in, as for Daisy you'll have to read for yourself 😁
