Probably, Erin. Dan Simmons is very thorough with his historical research.
Starting City of Glass by Cassandra Clare, #3 in the Mortal Instruments series. Also reading Bridget Jones' Diary, which seems like it will be light, fun reading. :-) I think I need a break from the dystopian genre for awhile, as it's starting to read too much like the present.
A third book I'm working on is the Best American Sci-Fi and Fantasy short stories, 2017 edition. Normally, short stories are not my cup of tea but surprisingly I'm enjoying most of these.
I just started The Ruins by Scott Smith.
Rhian I know what you are going through I was in a slump earlier, you just have to battle your way through it.
Finished Lying In Wait by Liz Nugent I thought it was excellent and rated 5☆ Now I'm onto my 3rd Chris Carter book, The night stalker
Not sure where to post this but just wanted to point out to those who are following the series that the new Mr. Mercedes season starts this month. http://start.att.net/exclusive/audien...

I am looking forward to starting the series. I have the first season on hold at my local library.
I finished The Ruins by Scott Smith this morning. Then I read Sweet Story by Carlton Mellick III. I really liked both of these books. Now I’m reading The Switch House by Tim Meyer.

I have read at least 3 Dark Tower tie-ins (Eyes of the Dragon,..."Misery is one of my all-time SK faves. The movie is scarily true to the book to, thanks to the inimitable Kathy Bates.
Yes the movie is good I am kind of concerned that Kathy is taking after her brother Norman...OK bad joke

Great joke!!
I've finished The Woman in White. Nice story, a little complex, but well builded. Now I'm reading Abaddon's Gate, third chapter in a series I like very much. :)

I loved infinite jest, really funny, but also mind altering.

Loved infinite jest. But you have to stay with it in spite of the length and the rambling narrative. Here's my spoiler-filled review.
