What Are You Reading Now? Pt 2.
I just started reading Different Seasons and will go borrow Sharp Objects from the library today. I am also re-reading salem's lot for a buddy read this month 😊
The Alloy of Law: A Mistborn Novel by Brandon Sanderson
I’m currently reading Wolf in Shadow by David Gemmell, which is absolutely fantastic and there are definite similarities that can be drawn between Jon Shannow and a certain other Gunslinger. Gemmell is a fantastic writer and I’m going to do my best to blast through all his books soon. Right now I’d say he’s not that far below King in my favourite authors of all time list.

Kandice wrote: "Erin wrote: "Dragon Teeth"I'm reading that right now."
What do you think of it so far?
Nick wrote: "Erin wrote: "Blindsighted"Great. Very rough stuff though."
I read this series out of order and I agree, it was pretty rough.

I finished and really enjoyed it. It was much more like Crichton than Pirate Latitudes which makes sense if he really did write this in the 1970s, like the post script says, and just never published it. It was also fascinating to see the beginnings of his love affair with the terrible lizards.
Nick, I read Wolf in Shadow as well by Gemmell and really enjoyed it. Was a few years ago so I can’t recall all of it but, I think I should go back to it as well. It’s tough to find a Western with elements that make it unique and yet similar to The Dark Tower saga. You may want to try Bloodrush by Ben Galley that has a Western setting but, elements of magic in it. It’s part of the Scarlet Star Trilogy.

I just finished The Disaster Artist, which was hilarious. Now I’m reading The Night Circus, I like it so far!

Ah, Lea Miserables is one of my all-time favorites! In other news, I started The Broken Girls yesterday, and, yes, it is creepy.
Trying to read a game of thrones and wuthering heights, neither grab me the way other books have but I’m doing it for the great American read.

I saw that the first (?) book alone is over 700 pages.....I have to be in the right mind for something that long!
I’m currently reading Acceptance, by Jeff VanderMeer. It’s book three of The Southern Reach trilogy. I liked book one (very different from the movie Annihilation, which I also liked), book two was okay, and so far I’m really liking book three.
I'm listening to the audiobook of The Night Circus and reading the Girl Who Wrote in Silk. Gearing up for The Dark Tower (probably on audio when I finish the night circus.)

I can do two easily, one as an audiobook and one as a read, but I can't go past three... the third being an occasional read as a break from the others.

Listening to the audiobook of
Both books so far absolutely intriguing. The first is a factual account of an American professor who took the position of U. S. Ambassador to Germany just as Hitler was ascending to power. I think he got the job mostly because almost no one else would take it. Brought his whole family with him including his recently divorced daughter, who was really attracted to powerful Nazi leaders and had an affair with the head of the Gestapo.
