Nancy, I read Boy's Life and I loved it. I don't know why I haven't gotten around to Swan Song, yet.
Finished up two solid offerings. Wrath of the Ancients
by Catherine Cavendish and Worlds Between My Teeth
by Tim Meyer. Definitely worth checking out. My reviews of both are here -Http://kenmckinley.wordpress.com or
Http://intothemacabre.booklikes.com
Started with DC quartet by George Pelecanos.Finished The Big Blowdown & King Suckerman the first two novels in the series. Pelecanos is a good writer but his plots are threadbare at best. The first book was better than the second and I am looking forward to wrap up the series soon.
My thoughts on The Big Blowdown https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Also almost caught up with Harry Bosch series, just one more book to go.

I would love that Nick.
Reading End of Watch by SK and very pleased with it so far. Also reading at the same time The Killing Kind by John Connolly which is the third in the Charlie Parker series. If you have not tried Connolly please oh please pick him up! You won't be disappointed!

I'm with Nick this is one well worth discussing
Finished The Neon Rain, first book in David Robicheaux series ny James Ler Burke. An atmospheric thrillef with a focus on characterization, loved the writing. Rating 4/5.My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Quick noobish question: How do you edit comments or add book links while making a comment on Goodreads App? I have started using it recently, seems to lack a few features compared to the regular desktop version.
Aditya wrote: "Quick noobish question: How do you edit comments or add book links while making a comment on Goodreads App? I have started using it recently, seems to lack a few features compared to the regular de..."You can't. The app sucks. I never use the app for posting comments.
For some book title you can enter the book link as follows:[ book:title ]
Example:
[ book:Gone with the wind ]
Leaving out the spaces next to the brackets it will look like this:
Gone with the wind
This only works with some book titles though not all.
Thanks Nancy missing an edit feature is really stupid, the app leaves a lot to be desired will try linking a book next time.
I'm finally into Phantom by Jo Nesbo I've started this 5 times and always chosen a different read instead but I'm sticking with it this time
It's been the summer of James Rollins for me. Right now I'm on The Devil Colony. It's been fun, though a little mindless. I think I'm going to take a break after this and finally read Make Room, Make Room by Harry Harrison.
Tim wrote: "Reading The Drawing of the Three. Couldn't resist dipping back into the Dark Tower series after having watched the movie recently."A good palate cleanser!
After reading Alice and The Red Queen, followed by an SK interlude (isn't it always nice to get back to reading something of his?) I'm currently onto The Lost Boy by Christina Henry.
I also read A Little Life back in May/ June. Anyone here read it?
@Steven: what are your thoughts about A Little Life? I've started the book, but then stopped. It's a big book and I need the time to read it.@Matthew: there you have a point. A lot of people think it's all about the sex, but the psychology and the relationship are more interesting. I only read the first book.
Finished The Sweet Forever by George Pelecanos. His best book so far, a great gritty crime novel. My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Matthewcross87 wrote: "alot of people see this book about on thing , - the sex i enjoy the funny , relationship side of it"So, I've read them all (50 Shades), and agree that the relationship is really interesting. And it can't be all about the sex because those parts are really badly done, and repetitive. My question is what does a woman see in this guy? Oh yeah, billionaire, troubled, obsessive, "beautiful" man, who will drop anything and rush to her aid no matter where she is or what the problem is. Who will insist on buying her clothes, and cars, and charm everyone she knows even her down-to-earth step dad. Who loves the classic romantic novels (especially Hardy) and plays the piano beautifully, who can fly a copter and a glider and - whether she likes it or not - will up-grade her travel to first class and buy the seat beside it so that it will be empty on the flight. Who even goes so far as to draw up a contract so that they have to know what kind of sex okay and what is off limits. Oh yeah, he's moody and has a BDSM playroom.
I read the whole series, Me I didn't know what the hope was all about. I really didn't enjoy this Pease of work. Maybe 20 years ago I might have e enjoyed it more. Way too much sex.
Matthewcross87 wrote: "whats odd for me is that when i got the books i had no idea what they'd be about as i said i just found it interesting what they were like together i must admit when i got to list of limits and stu..."Great story!
I'm about 700 pages into IT getting ready for the movie on Friday, I'm going to watch the original 90's mini-series tonight.
Finished Children Of Chaos
by Greg F. Gifune. It can now be added to my ever growing list of favorites by Gifune. My review:

Finished The Eyre Affair, a nice adventure, a story that revolve around literature crimes and the investigations of a tough detective. Now I'm reading If I Understood You, Would I Have This Look on My Face?: My Adventures in the Art and Science of Relating and Communicating, a book that explains the importance of communication through facts and stories told by Alan Alda.
