What Are You Reading Now? Pt 2.
Along with Joyland, just started The Shining for a buddy re-read before I jump into Dr. Sleep! Can't wait for that one!! :-)
Just starting on H’s recommendation BAAL by Robert McCammon, also reading and loving John Locke’s raunchy new thriller OUTSIDE THE BOX. I'm listening to the audio book of King's THE BODY, and reading and judging screenplays for the Cinequest Film Festival where I have to say I like the horror scripts the best.
Just Got done reading

Reading a compilation of h.p Lovecraft's fiction to get into the spirit of Halloween. I have to admit his writing style took some getting used to but I'm really enjoying his work.

I'm currently re-reading 'Salem's Lot. I have always loved that book. I want to re-read The Shining before I read Doctor Sleep (even though it really isn't necessary to do so.)
just finished Doctor Sleep, am still a King fan! Am currently trying to decide between Bridget Jones 3 "Mad about the boy" and the Passage, by Justin Cronin...what to do, what to do???

I love this series almost as much as the Lincoln Rhyme series, Kathryn.

That makes me excited to get to the Rhyme series! I still need four books in the series, but I will be reading it next year with my friend Janie. :)

I have been a Stephen King fan my while life, but I have not read "it". That is until now. I am only a meer 300 pages away from finishing. Great book
I'm 100 pages from the end of Dopctor Sleep and thank goodness it's picked up a bit. Was starting to think it was gonna be a big disappointment
I'm reading The Talisman at last! I'm loving it, too. I like King's old stuff SO SO much better than his new stuff.
I'm reading a book I should have read years ago. The Haunting of Hill House. I can't believe I missed this book.
Lena wrote: "I'm reading The Talisman at last! I'm loving it, too. I like King's old stuff SO SO much better than his new stuff."One of my all time favorites. Haven't gotten around to Black House yet, but I'm doing a re-read of all the King books in order as I collect the first editions (or the ones I can afford anyway.) Peppering one classic novel and one classic short story in between each book. Should keep me busy for a good long while. Anyway, enjoy the book, it is a great one.
I loved The Talisman Lena, so glad you're enjoying it :)K.L. I have The Haunting of Hill House on my shelf but haven't got around to it yet. Would be interested to hear what you think of it.
Just finished Your Heart Belongs To Me, it was okay but nothing to rave about. Think I might read Pretty Little Liars next.

I'm not quite halfway through Haunting, but I can say that it is written so uniquely that it is one of those rare books that is hard to put down. My three favorite Koontz books are Twilight Eyes, Lightning and The Bad Place.
I have had Lightning sitting on my shelf for a while now... I may have to get around to reading it soon :)
Just starting The Drop by Michael Connelly today after finishing The Body in the Lighthouse, which was pretty boring.
Rainier wrote: "Currently reading NOS4A2 by Joe Hill. Just realized the license plates sounds like, Nosferatu."I hope you enjoy it! I liked all the King references that he sneaks in throughout the book
