This book was a young adult novel about a girl living in France (maybe her name was Madeline, not to be confused with the story Madeline) and her mother had attempted suicide. I would love to find out what the name of this book is. Thanks in advance.

How long ago did you read it Kim? And do you know what genre, other than YA it was? Literature, horror, psychological, romance? Something Oprah would recommend?

Maybe living there temporarily. It was probably written in the 70's...
