I can't watch it. Mom saw it and my parents said it was too gory...Hmm...I saw Underworld I and II, and one is sort of gory. Although, canabelism freaks me out, so...probably a good idea I haven't seen it. The Phantom is the best and I pity him. Poor Erik!

This isn't going to turn into a discussion of our many creepy daydreams, is it? Although it's very Erik. Although compared to his, your daydreams would probably very gentle lovely and G-rated.

OK... back to the Phantom... again the most amazing person I have ever laid eyes on! If not for the Phantom, though, Raoul wouldn't have wanted Christine. There is the downside.
I disagree... Raoul wanted Christine from the beginning... Erik did nothing but obsess over Christine...

Well you know that the Phantom has known nothing but a life of hatred. Everyone hated him... so what would you do. He isn't sure how to show his love because he's never been on a date before! So I don't think that he knows the difference between obsession and love.

Well, he can be a good role model but he can also be a bad one, if you want to look at it realistically. I think that Raoul is a very bad role model though, so Erik really isn't that bad when you compare him to Raoul...
Raoul is simply lame. Phantom is the most awesome and amazing person ever! He loved Christine with everything he had, which was like obsession, but like someone said, knowing hate he never truly understood love.
I disagree that Erik never understood love; he let Christine go, didn't he? I know Erik is one very messed up individual, but you can't help but love him and want to knock some sense into Christine for not loving him. He's no choir boy, but is he really all that terrible? Aside from the homicidal tendencies, that is? I think most of what we feel about Erik is a combination of pity, respect, awe, a little bit of fear, and love. Good Lord, when you get down to it, he's got us bewitched.
