What would firearm confiscation look like?

Essential Liberty is my first novel. It is about two good friends with very different beliefs about 2nd Amendment rights and the way their lives are changed forever when the federal government bans and begins confiscating firearms.

I particularly wanted to examine the inevitable choices that would have to be made under such a scenario by various groups of people: gun owners, non-gun owners who take liberty for granted, law enforcement officers and politicians.

I began writing Essential Liberty more than a decade ago and published it in July of 2012. Many readers have told me that its especially timely in light of events in the U.S. over the last few months.
