I painted this one:

You can find all my book covers here: http://sonnygoten.deviantart.com/gall...
I also did some covers with photos.
Some are better than others, I must say. Some have been replaced by others. You'll just have to see for yourself. ^_^

Nice work! I've got a question for you - how did you put the cover art into your post? Thanks for the info!
I did the cover for my book. If you visit WWW.Shannonmcroberts.com and click on links you can visit my gallery :)
I do the cover art for all of my books. This was my first one. For now, all of my finished book cover art can be found here: http://www.mortalrealmwitch.com/books...
I add new covers to the page as soon as they are finished.
Also here: http://www.mortalrealmwitch.com/meett... you can see some of the characters I have created. Also with this section of my site, I put up new character drawings as I get them done.
Hi everyone, I would appreciate some help! Here is a link to my blog post, regarding needing help with a title change and cover art for my book that is scheduled to be published in June!

I would really appreciate it if you could take some time out of your busy day and go and vote for the title and cover you like best!
Thanks in advance!
Hi all,Here's one of my covers. It was inspired by one version of the movie poster for Fritz Lang's Metropolis.
I do all my own covers. You can see the rest here: http://sophia-martin.blogspot.com/
Sophia!Sophia, I love your covers! It must be so nice to be able to do your own covers. Thanks for your vote on mine!
You can certainly see the influence of Metropolis in Myadar's Snare's cover. I really like it!I do my own covers using Photoshop and purchased stock images. Would love to have them professionally done, but I do what I can with my starving-writer's budget :)

My cover was created on scratch board for me by an amazing artist named William Schaff. William is well known for creating great album covers for many bands.
My current projects, two of which have covers. I couldn't get them onto here as pictures, sorry about that.
Hi! I'm trying to post my cover for my book, but don't see an upload or insert function once in the comment box. Can someone help?
Ah ha! With the help of one of the lovely moderators, Dianne, I got it!Here is my cover for Watershed. I love it! It is a sweet romance set in Australia and Renee Rocco (who is happy for me to share) from Lyrical Press has caught the landscape perfectly (after a good rain that is!) Unlike many romance novels, we strayed away from the hunky eye-candy as the series is more about the "First days" of romance - the anticipation, excitement, butterflies, sexual tension. Hope you like!

http://pinterest.com/pin/142144931961...That's the cover of my debut mystery DESOLATION ROW. I never thought a cover made much difference, but I've had several people tell me they bought my book after they saw my cover...or its giant poster in a bookstore window.
In 1968 a young bride from Texas uses her CIA-honed skills to catch the real killer when her husband lands in a Canadian jail for murdering the draft-resisting son of a United States senator.

My brother did the cover my short story book. He gave me the rights (I still credited him in the book) because he just did it for fun. I tried making the cover when I was first publishing it and it was just horrid. I love what he did with it though.
The Deadly Mark is known for its mystery, crime, and drama. The main character Kathleen, being the heiress to the throne of England, becomes psychologically distressed and self-destructive when she is kidnapped by a cruel prince.
She has been tortured into handing over her power, and if the prince can't have her, he is determined to make sure that no one else can. War is about to break out between Scotland, Wales, and England, but how will Kathleen unite these three households when one of their heirs' is ... dead? Read to find out! Available online at Chapters/Indigo/Coles, Barnes&Noble, Nook&Kindle, and Amazon.
Hi - I do all the covers for my e-books. For my first novel, ULTRA, I used a photograph my daughter had taken at school in her photo club! I love the green of it and the fact that it looks quite mysterious.http://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/1...
Time After Timea rather beautiful cover produced for my book by Craig Slade. It's a scifi time travel novel with lashings of humour and music - it comes with a Spotify link to the 40+ song soundtrack of the novel played by the DJ character in the book.
Trailer is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1-eTq...
This is my book art for The Viking's Apprentice, drawn by my highly talented brother Paul.
Please visit my goodreads page for a better look at it. The artwork is striking. Kevin
Some of you are just posting your point of sales for your books. This post is intended to display original art done for books, not to pitch book sales. I will remove those that do, so please don't be surprised if your "ad" disappears. If I perceive it as spam, I'll remove it. To make your cover art not appear as spam, please don't include the "buy" link in your post. That makes it a spam, and we don't tolerate spam. We seek thoughtful interaction between thoughtful authors, not promoters looking for one more place to hack. We have threads to introduce books, and those may include the buy links for them. Please be thoughtful and respectful of others, and keep posts in the spirit of this thread--talking about great artworks created for the covers of books. Thanks,
Chris Shields

Hi there, my book is called Hindsight, which starts with the main character/narrator falling out of an eight story window. I designed the cover myself with a bit of a noir feel. Here it is.
by the way, how do you post jpegs? I don't see the option up top.
This is the cover for my novel, 'The Feet Of Darkness' the cover was designed by my publisher, 'Arrow Gate Publishing.
My brother created this artwork for my cover and my sister-in-law did the typography and I added some supernova (with my brother's approval!) A family affair. I love the result.
I got this book cover designed by the very talented Jennifer Tough. This woman is amazing! I definately recommand her work, you can see excellent examples of her work here:
www.jennifertoughdesign.com
and also get in touch with her here:

For those of use who are not artists, one method is to take a public domain painting and overlay titles and bylines.
I painted my cover as well. It took me a long time, but I've been happy with the results. I wrote up a blog post with tips for creating original art, in case anyone is interested: http://www.marchmccarron.com/diy-cove...
Jake VanHuss did the cover for me. I wanted to have a King George IIIrd halfpenny with a bullet hole in it - from the passage, "he could shoot the face off a King George halfpenny across the breadth of the Phantom." Jake wouldn't do it based on the diameter of a musket ball relative to that of the halfpenny - the slug was too big, the halfpenny was too small.

Your cover looks amazing! I want to say "eye-catching," but I'm going to resist the temptation - it's very good!
I created the futuristic vehicle using Corel Draw. It was only meant to be concept art for my own benefit but when I decided to publish a small book of short stories, including the one featuring the EGG, it seemed like the perfect image for the cover.

Oh I really like that cover!
I shot this myself using my I Phone. It is an original and copyrighted. I wanted something Celtic in keeping with the content of my romance novel. I had this garden stepping stone I picked up somewhere years ago. Who would have thought I would use it to supply myself with my own cover, before I had ever started writing? I shot it many, many times before deciding on this one. Hope you like it.
This is the front cover of my fantasy novel Entanglement. One of the main themes of the story is my protagonist losing himself in an ice-bound mirror-verse. I used my own photograph, taken on the footpath that runs at the back of my house, during a snowstorm, that I photoshopped, adding the misty figure - actually my sister in a hoodie.
You can view all the book covers I have currently created and finished at: http://www.mortalrealmwitch.com. The only one shown on the site, not designed by me, is the cover for The Battle of Ebulon. There is also an unfinished drawing that can be viewed in the preview story available in the Extra's section of the site.
Additionally, drawings of my book's characters that I did can be found in the Meet the Characters section.
More artwork will be coming soon as I am working on my next covers, some drawings for the website and more. Artwork of mine that isn't related to my Mortal Realm Witch series, as soon as I have finished them they will be available to be viewed on my other website: http://www.jenniferpriester.com.
This is the cover for my first book, The Returns. It's the story of an FBI agent who is returned to earth in the body of a Basset Hound. It was designed by Jay Bowen of J. Bowen Creative http://www.jbowen.com/ He does great work and is currently designing my cover for my second book.
Here are some of my latest art pieces that I created for the ebook "Monsters of the Apocalypse" written by Jordan Rawlins. The full collection of ebook art and promotional posters can be seen at the site or on the Facebook page! Thanks for looking!

Titanian Chronicles: Journey of DestinyHere is the cover to my first book Titanian Chronicles - Journey of Destiny ...while I didn't do the art myself...good luck, I wish!...I did work very closely with my artist to capture the scene, the colouring and the feel I was after. I was inspired by the more traditional 'old school' fantasy covers that I had always loved as a teen and Y.A ..I couldn't have been happier with the way it turned out. I also took a chance getting her to draw in the lettering (which I know is not done and warned against) but I wanted the feel of the writing of the people that live in Titania.
Here is the link to my blog that shows pictures of the process of producing this cover if you're interested. :)

I chose the images and colors and then had a graphic designer at BookBaby add the title and author name and arrange it according to my ideas.
Took the photo, cut it out, digitally painted the background, made a poster, wrote a book, changed the title of the book to match the picture...serendipity.
Here's the latest cover art poll I did for the new and improved Nightlife Paris:

This is the cover for my new book that will be released in November. This was my first attempt at cover design. I used about six different "free" programs to include all of the effects I wanted to portray. I am excited about the results!pic.twitter.com/H3o7xxJVAn
