SOLVED. An alien dog named Blue? [s]

Hi!
So I've been trying to find this book i read back in grade 5 for a while now, its about a boy who finds an alien dog and named him Blue. I also know that his previous dog died after his dad ran it over with his tractor by accident, if that helps.
