I think so too. I wish that Kim would delve into it a little more but I'm not expecting it at this point. I do love the little clues we get though, like in EA when they do the thumb promise (at Trent's suggestion!) and Rachel vaguely remembers doing it at camp involving a stolen key and a counselor's office. And then of course sharing a bottle of red pop.
@Isabella - I'm over all the vampire melodrama too. I'd be perfectly happy to keep the elves/demons storyline going all the way to the last book. Hopefully Kim does a nice balance so that the last book isn't ALL vampires.

Me too! I am fascinated by the demon and elf stuff. The vampire stuff, not so much. A lots already been done with them and it lost it's steam. But Kim does have ways of keeping things interesting so we shall see, and they do have to tie up Ivy's soul plotline somehow.

She is asked, "it was clear to me that Trent has feelings for Rachel and vice versa. This makes me really happy, but I’m sad knowing that Trent will put his duty above all else and Rachel, being the kind of person she is, will support him in this, meaning he will marry Ellasbeth. So my question is should I give up hope of Rachel and Trent as a couple?"
and Kim said, "Will Trent adhere to duty, or follow his heart? I cannot say, because as Rachel realizes, this is something that Trent has worked his entire life for. He could be . . . wow. Just have to wait and see."
When we got to read the chapter in Trent's POV from A Perfect Blood, we are told, "But another part of him wondered what he was willing to sacrifice to save her, and it scared him that he didn't know the answer."
Then another question was, "Is there anyway that Ceri or Pierce will reappear?" and Kim's answer is, "Just keep reading. I can’t give spoilers like that out. However, we will find out more about Al and Ceri in THE UNDEAD POOL. Yes."
Just wanted to share as it's a few more tidbits to think on.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE....and other excited noises right now :)

I'm of the mind that Trent will go through the motions of another marriage with Ellasbeth but then there will be some overwhelming proof that she is endangering Rachel's life and Trent will do whatever he can to save her. I think that will be the end of that.

My best guess it that Ellasbeth will continue to attack Rachel and the demons will find out. It would be war again for demons and elves. My next theory is that Trent will offer himself to stop the war. This is just a theory

That's a very interesting theory, and still fits in to what I think with Ellasbeth not giving up going after Rachel and Trent putting a stop to it. I'll have to mull that over a while, but I like it. I just want to make sure that Trent is with Rachel because of 'his heart' at Kim put it and not out of a sense of duty. Kim did say that the choice is between the two. I love trying to think of all that could come while we have this long wait. Six more months feels like forever. I've been re-reading in between other books.

She was asked, "I have read that the coming Hollows book may involve a new species, is that true?"
She answered,"Yeah. I guess you could call it a new species."

LOL bit cliched, but hey I'll go with it.

And, though Kim has said elves and demons are genetically not capable of reproducing with each other, I don't know if anyone ever asked her about a genetically engineered hybrid? Elven-demon hybrids would, if in sufficient numbers, put the whole war thing to bed at last. I'm just not sure that Trent could stomach that idea, though. Unless he starts to see all demons through a Rachel prism, he's always going to see Rachel as some sort of species exception.

She was asked, "I have read that the coming Hollows book may involve a new species,..."
Jaclyn, Kim alluded to it in a comment back in a May post (when she announced the title of book 12) when she said that she had originally submitted another title that wasn't approved.
"I submitted it under Mystic Impact to reflect a new critter called mystics."

She was asked, "I have read that the coming Hollows book may involve..."
Thank you so much! Mystic automatically makes me think of X-Men, but I'll be wondering what critter this is about. I wonder if it has something to do with the babies that he asks for her help with at the end of Ever After.

I had totally forgotten that Mystic Impact was the previous name of the book!

Erika, you might be closer to getting your birthday wish than you realize. A few things were finalized this week, and things are moving again.
Congrats on the give-away!

If Al and Rachel moves thier relationship further there are the possibilties of Rachel getting pregnant. But then of course Ellasbeth will have to cause havoc in Trent/Rachel and also Newt will stop helping Rachel.
"love-triangle"; Al-Rachel-Trent... ;)
What do you think?

I agree, Veronica. I just don't see it. Rachel has said that she's not attracted to Al, and as you mentioned Kim has said on her site several times that she doesn't see a romantic connection between the two of them. I think it's Trent for her from here on out as a love interest. They will end up together or not. Kim said she will have a HEA but it doesn't necessarily have to be what we think.

Happy Birthday Erika! I finally read Into The Woods recently and I had to smile when I read your "Thanks" at the end, so cool. :-)
Wait, what? I only have the ARC for that one.

Veronica G. wrote: "Kim's answer regarding marriages as a way to cement peace could be read as more of an "in general it's cliche" way. And since the only marriage-for-peace that is currently on the table is between ..."
Ellasbitch??? BWAHAHAHA! Does KH know about this tag name you guys have created? It's hilarious!

EEE! Isn't that awesome?

SUPER awesome!! Kim is so firmly rooted in my "#1 fave author forever" spot it's not even funny, ROFL.

Well those of us who know you also missed it so don't feel like too much of an idiot, lol.
Bringing over a little something from Kim's site...a reader asking for some clarification on Ever After:
Question: "1. In Ever After, when Quen says that Rachel will be what Trent needs, and then later that Trent would risk his life for Rachel, what did he mean by this? Was it something deeper than the original wish for her to look out for Trent when Quen wasn’t available?"
Kim: "1. Quen means that Trent loves her. Quen isn’t necessarily happy about it, but he recognizes it, and he’s bringing it to Rachel’s attention."
The bolding is mine...because I just think it's nice to read. :)

Newt told him if he slept with him she'd kill him (Newt), he scowled and said he knows that. Rachel thought it was interesting Newt was going to kill them if they slept together. It didnt mean Rachel would kill him, but Newt doesnt want them sleeping together, which irritated Al

Well at least Quen is recognizing it!

Hi guys, can anyone tell me what the teaser was? I searched for it in her Fb page but couldn't find it. Maybe she removed it?

The question why is interesting ;)? Why would Newt kill them?
Don't get me wrong, in the end it will be Trent and Rachel since that feels like it's the plan from the start. And I do like Trent.

I do wonder if it's only going to be Ivy who gets her soul back of if it will apply to all vampires. It would hardly seem fair if it were just Ivy. Then again, vampires are apex predators in the world of the Hollows so is it really wise to make such a drastic change to such a top-of-the-food-chain species and NOT expect it to have far reaching (and not always positive) ramifications?

Cover is supposed to be released next week... If I can't get some hot elf action just yet, I guess it will have to do!

Thanks for the info. I searched for it but didn't find it. Thanks anyways :)

From her June 25th entry: http://kimharrison.wordpress.com/2013...
"Barefoot and feeling a chill in the air, I padded to the kitchen, hesitating at the threshold. Normal. It looked normal, and I wished it was mine to keep, to see again and again like the slow repetitive feel of summer days until the fear was dabbed away."
