The International Fiction Reading Group in Norwich is reading Beside the sea by Veronique Olmi. The novel was translated byAdriana Hunt Even though they are meeting on June 12th to discuss the book this will be our first read for the whole month of June. But you are welcome to start earlier :-)!

Hello everybody, I have to admit I still do not have this book so I have to contact my library. But Pereine books are usually quite small so it should not be difficult. I wonder how this book will be as I have been warned it is a bit sad when I was at the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize Readers Day but that usually means it is an interesting book. Hope you will enjoy reading it and we will share our experiences later on in the month. Take care and "good read" :-)

ah my book is on the way. The librarian said that Pereine which published the books want books that you can read in the same time like watching a film - that should be an incentive :-)

got it today and will start reading tonight. Has anyone started it and has some thoughts on "beside the sea"?
